Leona's £1million gig for billionaire!
Thursday 19 March 2009
Singing sensation Leona Lewis was paid £1million to sing at a billionaire’s daughter’s 21st birthday party.
The X Factor winner was offered the whopping wage to perform seven songs in front of 200 lucky guests, The Sun has reported.
Miss Lewis topped off the night for John Caudwell’s daughter Libby by singing a duet with Boyzone’s Stephen Gately - making it a night to remember for the birthday girl!
And it’s not the first time the Phones4U founder has invited high profile singers to perform an private parties!
Caudwell reportedly paid Whitney Houston £1.7million to sing at a charity event in London.
Although 23-year-old Leona was not meant to perform until next year, she and Simon Cowell made an exception for the event.
We guess the pair wouldn’t have jumped quite so much at the chance if it hadn’t been for the £1million sum!
Still – it’s great to see Leona becoming an in-demand diva in her own right!
