Celebrity Twitter mania

Hollywood has been taken by storm by newish social networking craze Twitter (it's Facebook in a nutshell, basically).

Everyone from Britney Spears to Lindsay Lohan have kept the world engaged with up to the minute 'Tweets' (status updates), but now it seems we have the first high-profile relationship casualty at our hands, thanks to the new phenomenon.

Jennifer Aniston is reported to have dumped John Mayer because he was constantly updating his Twitter profile (we assume from his phone) - but failed to call, text or email her whilst she was touring the globe to promote new movie Marley And Me.

A friend said: "Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn't have time for her and yet his page was filled with updates!

"Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he'd update with some stupid line."

According to the source, John didn't deny his negligence and when Jen gave him his marching orders he simple said he was sorry things didn't work out.

Shortly after the break-up, John updated his Twitter profile to read: "This heart didn't come with instructions."

Maybe Jen dumped him because she was embarrassed by his pretentious musings?

It's an entirely different story, however, at the Kutcher-Moore's. Cheeky Ashton uploaded a snap of his missus' enviable derierre whilst holidaying in the West Indies.

The 31-year-old comedian secretly snapped Demi as she did the laundry in a sexy white two-piece, happily tweeting that Ashton is "Watching my wife steam my suit in a bikini."
