Oh no! Mornings will never be the same again!
Lovely Fern Britton has handed in her notice on ITV's This Morning.
The telly star is reportedly turning her back on the daytime show after she discovered co-host Phillip Schofield earns up to three times as much as her.
Mum-of-four Fern said: "I have decided to leave the show at the end of the current series.
“The This Morning team are simply the best and I will miss them all very much but I am looking forward to the freedom of exploring other things I want to do, and also spend more time with my wonderful family.”
But insiders claim she is furious that ITV has failed to give her more high-profile jobs — while turning Phil into a major star.
He has a £2million contract with ITV and fronts Dancing On Ice as well as This Morning. He also pockets a whopping £45,000 an episode for co-hosting Mr & Mrs with Fern while she gets just £15,000 a show.
Writing on his official site, Phil said: "I'm obviously very sad that after ten triumphant years on This Morning Fern has decided to leave the sofa.
"I've been lucky enough to work with her for six of those years and can honestly say that they have been amongst the best of my career.
"We have cried together over stories and we have laughed ourselves breathless too. I wish Fern all the very best, lots of love, and hope she can get a few well deserved lie-ins."
Oh Fern, won't you reconsider? We'll miss you!

I don't blame her for handing in her notice. Why should someone else who does exactly the same job get triple the pay she does. Where's the equality?

Awwww I love Fern she's so lovely. It is really unfair that he should be paid more especially as Fern's been there a lot longer than Phillip. I hope this doesnt come between them on a personal level cos they do make a good team.

That's sexist!!....I'd bloody leave aswell,and i wouldn't come out with a different reason,i'd tell um straight,i'd want exactly the same or bye,bye!
