Piers Morgan bans Becks from chat show

Err, who in their right mind would turn down a date with David Beckham? Well, according to Piers Morgan, he would!

That’s right, the ex-newspaper editor turned chat show host reckons he’d say no to an interview with sexy Becks.

Piers said: “I don’t want him on my chat show. Rebecca Loos is my second cousin from my marriage. My first question would be, ‘What did you do with my cousin?’”

He also hinted that sparks would fly should the pair ever have a heart-to-heart, saying: “I know more about it than he might like!”

Piers Morgan’s Life Stories pulled in 4.4 million viewers on ITV1 when he grilled Ulrika Jonsson last week.

Piers – who stars a judge on Britain’s Got Talent - says he only wants “honest, feisty people with strong opinions” on his show.

When assessing Becks' personality, he said: “I've never met David, but I'm not in a trance about him like everybody else."

While Beckham might not be the feistiest star out there, we wouldn’t say no to an hour with him without all those pesky teammates and commentators getting in the way.
