Fancy a wallet-friendly break?
Thursday 02 April 2009
The sun is shining, the clocks have gone back, winter coats have been banished to the back of wardrobes – we should all be thinking about booking a summer sunshine break, right?
Apparently not! According to research, holidaymakers are shunning the idea of foreign travel and looking for summer breaks in Britain instead.
The Association Of Travel Agents has reported a significant drop in sales of overseas trips compared with last summer. And at the same time, there has been a surge in requests for information about trips closer to home.
Yep – the credit crunch is to blame!
But if you fancy delving into the exotic without blitzing your credit card, we’ve got a tip for you - pay a visit to Carey’s Manor.
With its picturesque New Forest setting, gorgeous rooms and affordable prices it offers everything you’d want from a UK break.
Over £6 million has been spent on the hotel’s Thai SenSpa and with it’s state-of-the-art facilities - including a large hydrotherapy pool, herbal sauna, crystal steam room, ice room, experience showers and much more – it’s no surprise that it’s scooped a whole host of awards.
Many of SenSpa's therapists are actually from Thailand, which makes you feel like you’re really getting away from it all.
And the scrummy menu on offer at the spa’s Zen Garden restaurant has got to be the best food west of Bangkok!
There are so many whizzy treatments on offer but we recommend the Thai massage – which will leave you feeling pummelled but ultimately relaxed. Enjoy!
