I work bloody hard and get more and more pissed off when I read these stories. Me and my Husband have been married for a year and are trying for children. We have our own house, good jobs and are ready for it. But we can't have children unfortunately. I would do ANYTHING to have my own child but things are not in my favour. These poor excuses for human beings need to be taught a lesson. Take away their kids as they really don't deserve them. Bring back National Service and send them to war. Then they'll realise what bloody work is. Scum.

leaving her with 6 young children to bring up,she got no help at all, she worked to bring her family up let those scum bags do the same.
we had a family living next door never worked 8 children and never done a days work in there life between them they have 2 council houses whilst my sister as worked all her life and still working at 61

I am absolutely disgusted by this article, i am 23 year old single mum of a 6 year old daughter, i work full time and from when my daughter was born i imediately went back to college and got my A levels. I earn roughly the same as what i would be entitled to on benefits so i may aswell sit on my arse for a living but i dont becasue i want to be able to provide the best future possible for my child, there is absoloutely no excuse for them to be scrounging of the social, the benefits system is a joke, as are these pair of scum bags!!! On a Tuesday I love to pick up Closer for my lunch time get away. But I was horrified to read about the teen mum who is about to have twins, and having one already who lives with her mother.
I live in Sevenoaks where she wants to have a council house, its never the correct thing to say but I am. Its not fair that I am struggling to find a home in these current climates, and I can't get one in Sevenoaks where I have grown up and loved. But she thinks that because she can't be bothered to work, and gets her benefits should be allowed.Its nice to know that for me working so hard I get to pay for her to stay at home.
How can it be that she had wonderful parents who watched her grown in to being so selfish. Does she really think this man is going to stay with her.
I have never written in to a magazine, but this one really got to me being so close to home. I hope that one day she will grow up to see that she was wrong, and that her children will be there.

& by the way Bash.. kids having kids.. it isnt as wrong as you think. my friend got pregnant when she was 14, & had her daughter when she was 15. yes, she missed school for a few months, but she came back.. missing some lessons such as p.e, but thta was because o fher stitches. her mother looked after the baby when she was at school 7 when she wasnt, her mum went to work & she looked after her. now her daughter is 3. my friend has got a job, lives in her own house with her boyfriend (who has also got a job) & they are doin brilliantly. so benefits or anything. they have turned out fine. & so has her daughter, shes a lovely little girl. not everyone is like these people who have kid willy-nilly on our money.

Why allow her to carry on having children if she is just going to live off other people? This country is capitalist. We work to better ourselves and get better things. Whether you agree with or not, that's the way it is. He's a disgrace and she's not much better. Unfortunately this is a real issue that needs addressing in our country however I can't help but notice that this story brings out some real snobbery in people.
I am NOT on benefits but live on a council estate (in my own home) and as many wasters as I see, there are just as many people, if not more who genuinely require benefits and they honestly don't get much!! Ignorance on this issue from people who know little about council estates and the people who require benefits is hald the problem.
I feel for her parents who obviously have worked hard for what they have and given her so much and are now in the position of raising her son. I also feel sorry for him as due to her immaturity - and some questionable ethics from Closer- will now be able to read in the future that his grand parents, probably the closest things that he will regard as parents, suggested having him aborted.
Unfortunately this is not a situation about to change but brings up the same old queries of the so called lack of sex education and also the ability for anyone to have a baby, even if they are not able to look after them...

Im a teen mum myself. I have a girl and twin boys. Im only 18 BTW! After i had my daughter, i went straight on to college after finishing school and got my A levels. After i had the twins last year, i got myself a part time job and took on another A level course. It's silly little girls like this one that gives devoted, loving and hard working teenage mums like me a bad reputation. Nice to know that the money i'm working my arse off for to give MY kids a better life is going to a tramp like her to sit on her arse all day long and continue reproducing! Well where do I begin, Unfortunately I have experienced the disgusting, freeloading waste of space that is Dean Evans first hand having been a bridesmaid at one of his many weddings!! I did it for the bride and she eventually wised up and had a lucky escape but not before he made her life a living bloody hell!!

I am a single mum with 3 kids aged 6, 8 and 9. There dad passed away when they were 3, 5 and 6. All 3 of us where distraught but I have managed to work and let me say I am suffering from depression but am still working, It's appalling. Most people have to work in the first stages of a babies life. I put my daughter into a nusery at 10months and went back to work for 3days. I had 2 go back i would of loved to stay at home, but i needed the money to pay for my bills.
We wouldnt get any help and i rather go back to work then be on benefits.

I am sad to say that i am no longer shocked at these articles. Well done Mr Brown and Mr Blair, as it is because of them and not because of poor sex education that the increase of under aged pregnacies. Government for benefits, £16,000 a year is more, in far too many case, than University graduates wage. Espicially at this time of economic crisis, yet these people only need to have another child to get more money. Graduates are getting pay cuts to deal with the economic depression, does it not occur to anyone to stop giving these chav idiots more money for every kid they have and refuse to work to support? This country is awful and as soon as I can I will be leaving.
I know national figures don't support my statement but I worked for a while for my university calling up the graduates to find out what they were doing and how much they were earning, few of them were earning more than £16,000.

I knew cathy really well back at school, which she was not bullied at, she left at the age of 14 and not 12... and both her schools were private and very well educated. Im not condoning anything that she has done in her life... i tried to help her in the early stages when she started seeing the father of her first child, but she would never listen to anyone. I agree with all these comments, she's always needed help and sadly its too late for her to get her life on track to have a normal 17 year olds life. We all knew this was bound to happen.. She was and am sure still is a great girl who had a lot of potential to go a long way in life, having private education and extra help at school... Im sad to say i think that's been thrown out the window. I hope she enjoys her life with her children and it does work out for her, and she can prove everyone wrong. The age difference is nothing, but considering 'Dean' hasnt exactly had the best experience with his ladies...it doesnt look promising. :( had some good times with you cathy, just hope you and your family can sort your life so you and your children get the best care possible. xx

There is no excuse to get pregnant/continue with a pregnancy when you cannot afford it.
If you cannot afford child you should be using condoms and another form of birth control. Both for someone her age are available for free. If that fails, morning after pill. Get it from your doctor and it's free. If that fails abortion. Something which is also available for free.
People should not be given benefits for something that the government already has lots of free solutions to. If you decide to keep your child its your responsibility. Not the taxpayers.

i was 28 when i got pregnant with my son, he was planned but sadly the father didnt stay around to look after my son & i, the easiest thing in the world was to dump him on my parents cos i found it hard after suffering cronic post natal depression & my son from 3 weeks old had bad colic, but no i took my responsiblities as both a mum & a dad seriously, it was bloody hard work sleepless nights & tears but i did it. the compliments i get from people who see my son & tell me how much of a good job i have done looking after him on my own & he is a credit to me.
after being single 4 a year i met the man of my dreams, again i could have taken the easy option + dump him on my parents to go on dates with my new boyfriend but my son came on our first & every date, mum offered to have my son so i could go on dates but i said no.
i was mature enough to have a kid so i was mature enough to take the concequences that came with having a baby.

stories liks go like these, really piss me of!! lets go rob all the chavs and get our money back!!! i dont see why half of us have to work our arses off, and they other half just have sex, kids, drink and get monthly weekly money, plus a house, plus whatever else they need. its really not fair. my boyfriend used to be like this. until i got him off his arse, he now works full time, and has to actually "PAY" tax now. its not just them. i was on the bus this morning and 2 chavvy couples got on with their kids.

This is a load of made up nonsense - 16k a year benefits - yeah right
Do your research, disability living allowance + incapacity benefit, is rouchly equal to about 250 a week (£90 ish a week incapacity and 400/500 a month in DLA) , add it up and it is roughly 16k a year, I know people who claim these benefits (to be fair, blind so entitled to it) I know exactly how well off people are in this situation
So he gets those benefits while she licks up income support, child benefit and tax credits, your getting closer to 20k a year in free money, After you factor in housing benefit, council tax benefit, free prescriptions and all those other little perks these wankers get handed to them, not bad for lying on your back and opening your legs huh?

what a chavy family! living off our money! we can onnly go on hoilday 24 days a year whilst they have the whole year off! KNOBS thats what they are! we pay for them to have a nice life! with there big tvs and nice cars but when some one that works 5/7 days a week trys and move out we cant cause we dont have enought money cause we have to pay for them to live + we dont get any help what so ever! i have had to work since i left school! while these chavs move stright in to a 3 bedroom house because they have poped a kid out!

I became a Mum at 15 (also from margate by the way!) I wasn't proud of it by all means had not slept around or anything like that it just happened. It was a mistake admittedly but I dealt with it and coped and finished school completing my GCSE's with 6 A-C grades and not once did I "pass the buck". She says she doesn't agree with abortion or adoption.........that's fine stand by your decision then and be the Mum you became to be. I would not and could not dream of ever being more than a day without my little man who is now 5. I personally don't agree with any mother that could. y r u lot so against havein a baby at that age????? i was 15 wen i fell pregnant with my baby boy n had im at 15!!! i did my gcses n got good grades but i dont work as i prefer to spend my time wih my lil man!!! i wud like to work but noot until my lil man i in nursury!!! im now 17 and im still with his dad hu is also 17 and he works fulltime so i dont c y u r so against bein pregnant at that age not everyone is a bad mum u no!!!! id do anythin 4 my baby boy!!!!!!!!
