Jennifer looks a bit thin on the top picture! i love her hips, but her stomach area is way too small. Closer, dont you think that these pictures will want young girls to look this thin? i'm not slatin the women because they are thin, i'm critising Closer for putting them on. knowin full well that yougn girls will want to look like them!

i agree, both still look abit thin, jennifer stoumach looks tiny and you can see bones cuming through in the other pic of clare...
CLOSER why is it you promote pics like this in your mag but still interview those with eating disorder to apparently warn everyone about, is it not your MAG and others which encourage girls to be thin and thus they develop eating disorders as a result!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I don't agree with the comments above. I think Jennifer looks healthy and happy - yes she is slim and toned, but she still has nice curves and looks far from emaciated.
Why is it that every time a celebrity puts on weight you have to say how good they look with a bit of meat on their bones and it's great to see that they are not succumbing to the pressures of the industry by being too thin, but when we see pics of a slim, toned woman you can't say that she looks amazing?
Totally hypocritical. So everyone who exercises, has a flat tummy and cares about their physical appearance is promoting anorexia? I bet that a lot of people would kill for a body like Jen's. She's not too thin, she looks amazing!

we arent sayin that they are promoting anorexia, we are saying that they look a bit thin, if you read our comments properly you would see this. & yes, i said Jennifer has nice hips, i said she looks a bit thin around her stomach. She might look happy, but in my opinion she looks thin.

I agree slightly with sarah isit? I cant really tell how tha other one looks as she is sitting down..but Jen looks fine she is nowhere near to slim she is about a 8/10 what is too slim about that????There is a difference between anorexia and simply being slim...
It seems now adays if u aint got love handles or a lil bit of flab ur skinny and promoting anorexia, its funny how things have changed but at the same time ppl are still getting put down for it... u can never win, mag used to slate ppl for being to fat, now they slate u for being to slim.??!! I cant see bones hanging out of her, so I cant see the problem in using these pics... its a pic of two women on holiday, simple as that. Im not criticising the rest of ur opinions, just airing mine.

who is agreeing with who? i dnt get it lol! i think we should applaud girls like jennifer who tone up healthily - you can't have toned thighs like that without lots of exercise and more to the point lots of food! you need protein to build up muscle, otherwise shed just be a bag of bones and cellulite which she isnt.

Anyhoo, by hypocritical I mean that just because Closer puts up pics of someone who looks healthy and toned on the beach it's not promoting anorexia. And that if someone puts on weight you are not allowed to say anything remotely negative although it might hint at an unhealthy lifestyle.
I just think that this whole media promoting anorexia thing is so old. We all read 'diet secrets of the stars' or look at galleries of the 'best beach bodies', and then we shout abuse if someone dares to point out that someone who's not a size 16 looks good in a two piece. That's all.

Personally i think both girls do look a little underweight,not nice when you see bones poking through the skin.
Most "skinny" celebs would look even worse if it wasn't for their fake boobs that give them the appearence of added extra curves!
I think thats why most of them have them,cos they've lost that much weight,their boobs have gone too,so they have um filled out again!
And no closer,its not making me rush out to the gym because you've put a picture of two skinny soap stars on here,i exercise everyday for ME no one else,and certainly not to "keep up with the jones's"!
I cycle everyday,this week ive clocked up 30miles so far,ive been doing it for years,i'm toned,fit AND a size 14/16!!....and i love my curves,so NO i wouldn't want to look skeletol just cos most celebs do!!

At the same time tho for the size and height of Jen if she was to go doctors Im sure she would be considered a healthy weight for herself and would not be underweight..alot of people when they see me ohhh ur so skinny, I am a size 10 with quiet a large rump and a nice sized chest area, with hips aswell although small. my curves are clearly shown,but Im still skinny, why because I dont have flab hanging over my tummy, or cellulite....??!! I refer to myslef as slim and healthy Im happy how I am and thats what counts I think...God made us in all different shapes and sizes and we cant change that so might aswell love it.. and ppl should not put ppl down for it...

I think Jennifer Metcalfe looks fab, i think the angle of the pic makes her look skinnier than she actually is as her torso is twisted, but have to say, if that top pic of her isn't a posed pic for the cameras, then i don't know what is.

I think mercedes is a good looking girl and i would love to have a figure like hers but i dont and im ok with that as i think celebs have to strive so much more to look fab as they get photographed so much more. Im not disagreeing that maybe these pictures may promote anorexia however i think people are saying its promoting anorexia as they are a little bit envious of them. I think we need to be realistic that Nicole Ritchie and other celebs like that are the real celebs that need to stop being photographed as she is vile and horrible to look at but to a younger person she looks good.

The top picture just looks like unfortunate angle but the bottom shows very visable bones. Not sexy. But they might just have bodies like that. My cousin eats like mad but has never been bigger than a size 8 even when she was pregnant. People need to take metabolisms into account, some people just can't put on weight.

who are we to say weather that looks sexy or not? Being sexy comes from within and is a state of mind... thats like saying a women bigger than a 14 cant be sexy because she has flab hanging over her stomach........If you have the self-confidence and how to make the most out of ur figure then u can still be sexy weather u are a size 8 or size 20.....it depends on you...but people fell the need to be a certain way because of comments like.... thats not sexy!!! People are becoming just as bad as the magazines and media!!! Like the lady above said, some ppl are slim and they eat alot but they dont put on weight it does not mean they are starving their selfs
