Amy plans to adopt St Lucian child

Uh oh! Another day, another truly bonkers Amy Winehouse story to report.

This time Wino has told pals she wants to adopt a St Lucian child after revealing her plans to make the Caribbean island her permanent home.

According to the - frankly quite baffling - reports, troubled singer Amy apparently sees herself as the ‘Angelina Jolie of St Lucia’ and wants to help poor and underprivileged children.

“Amy is seriously thinking about adopting,’ as source told The Mail On Sunday.

“But she is aware it’s going to be incredibly difficult with her background.

“Amy’s gutted about Blake becoming a dad and moving on so quickly. She has always wanted to be a mother. She loves St Lucia and would move there for good in order to adopt."

But her spokesman claimed: "Amy was talking about adopting in the context of looking after children on the island, perhaps through some kind of music and education-based project."

What do you reckon? Would Amy make a good mum? Should she become the Angelina Jolie of St Lucia?

its a nice thing for her to do but is she really capable and reliable to be able to do this is the question!!!!! she cant even look after herself sometimes! i thinik her drink and drug dependancy is going to be a problem for her in this one. amy sort your own life out before you try to help someone elses.

well, if she wants to properly adopt a child, then her background wont do her justice! they wont let her adopt when she has a drug & drink record. amy might make a good mum, but then again, she might not.

i agree with alisha, amy really does need to sort her own life out before she tries helpin others.

She needs to adopt some self respect, willpower and self disipline before she should even consider adopting a child. She's not capable of looking after herself. It would be the most damaging thing in the world for an orphan to be a part of Amys world, she's so messed up it's scarey.

What is it with these egotistical people with money and not much else. Whenever they feel a void in there lives its an all out bid for adoption. Its seems that all they want to do when they have nothing else left to spend their money on is to go out and buy a child. If they really care and want to help they should donate their money to charities who are desperate for funds. What sort of stability will she be able to offer any child. Funny how shes suddenly all maternal just because her ex is having a baby.
