Madonna fights for little Mercy

The date for Madonna's desperate appeal to adopt Malawian toddler Mercy James has been set.
The Queen of Pop is battling against a court ruling that turned down her application to become the legal parent of the 4-year-old due to residency reasons. Madge was told that she can't adopt the little girl because she hasn't lived in Malawi for the last 18 months.
The country's strict adoption rules require applicants to be resident in Malawi for a minimum of a year and a half so child welfare authorities can assess the suitability of the prospective parents.
Never one to take no for an answer, a devastated Madonna refused to give up - and won the right to appeal against the courts decision. The hearing will take place in two weeks, on May 4th.
In 2006, Madonna adopted three-year-old David Banda from Malawi, sparking claims that her case was given special status because of her fame and wealth.
What do you think? Should Madonna be allowed to adopt Mercy? Or do you agree with the court officials?

If Madonna was allowed to adopt David Banda from Malawi, then how come she isnt allowed to adopt Mercy? she didn't live in Malawi then..
I guess if I was her then i wouldn't take no for an answer either. But why doesn't Madonna adopt from somewhere else? Yeah i know that she really wants Mercy to be her daughter but life isn't fair.

If she want's the little girl that bad she should abide by the rules and live there for a year,simple as!!
She shouldn't get her own way just because of who she is.
Other "normal" people that want to adopt have to go by the rules and so should she!
