Sarah Jessica's expecting surrogate twins

Please tell us if you saw this one coming, because we sure as hell didn't!
Sarah Jessica Parker's representatives announced yesterday that the actress and hubby Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls by a surrogate mother.
The 44-year-old and her family "are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed," the statement from the couple said.
SJP and Matthew are reported to have tried to conceive naturally for a year before turning to a surrogate.
"They had a lot of unsuccessful tries," a friend was quoted as saying. "They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family."
The couple have one son together, James, six. Earlier this year their marriage was rocked by allegations that Matthew was having an affair, but the pair worked through the difficult period.
Let's hope it is onwards and upwards for the happy family! Congratulations!

I thought they were on the verge of breaking up? Band aid baby springs to mind!
Not being funny but a year is nothing to be trying for your own,its just taken my friend two years,and there was nothing wrong with either partner,they just come when their ready!
i hope for their sake its not a case of having baby's to save their marriage!

i agree with clarabella, it sometimes takes longer than a year to concieve a baby.... i was concieved straight away.. honey moon baby hahaa

You don't know what happens behind closed doors and you don't know what tests they have to see if either partner can have anymore children. Goodluck to them, i hope the children bring them all the happiness they need and want.
