Celebrity Diet Secrets: Erin Boag

Strictly dancer Erin Boag, 34, tells us what’s in her fridge
Where do you shop?
At Marks & Spencer – I love their ready meals and smoked salmon. I spend £10-15 every time I go there.
What is your typical daily diet?
I’ll have a fruit smoothie or muesli and a cup of tea for breakfast. For lunch I’ll have a sandwich or baked potato and my other half [business consultant Peter O’Dowd] usually makes dinner. He makes a great stir-fry with peppers, veg and rice noodles with either chicken or lamb steaks.
What’s your ‘can’t live without’ ingredient?
Pickle – I love it in sandwiches.
Is there anything you don’t eat?
I can’t stand avocado or celery.
Which three foods would you take to a desert island?
It’d have to be smoked salmon, milk chocolate and fruit.
What’s your favourite comfort food?
Chocolate. I try to have one or two Minstrels to satisfy me, but that doesn’t always work!
What’s your favourite drink?
During the day it’s water and tea. I drink very little alcohol, but if I do, I like a glass of dry white wine or rosé.
Erin is currently training for this year’s Playtex MoonWalk, a charity power-walking challenge to raise money for breast cancer. For more info, visit www.walkthewalk.org.
Nutritionist Catherine Matthews says:
“Erin eats a well-balanced diet, containing lean protein sources, veg and complex carbs like cereal and potatoes. Chocolate is high in calories and fat, so she should try to sometimes swap it for a yoghurt or a piece of fruit. Ideally, Erin should prepare meals from scratch, but low-fat ready meals can be eaten as part of a nutritionally balanced diet.”
