Cameron Diaz Closer Celebrity Gossip

Cameron's child-free life is 'unbelievable'

Friday 29 May 2009

We all know being an A-Lister has its perks, but Cameron Diaz credits her enviable Hollywood lifestyle to a lack of children.

"I have an unbelievable life. In some ways, I have the life that I have because I don't have children," the 36-year-old star said in an interview with Parade magazine.

She added: "People might say, 'That's bull. She actually really wants to have a baby.' My answer is, 'No! Everything I'm bringing into my life right now isn't geared toward that.'"

We're all for women with ambition, but Cameron has been in relationships with Matt Dillon, Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and Paul Sculfor - think how cute the kids would have been!

But the actress said of her love life: "You always find the person who you're meant to be with at that time in your life, and what I've also found is that you have to move on from those people at certain times - that's the way it happens."

And she has no concerns about being deemed past her sell-by date by men, either. "I'm not going to walk through this world hating myself because somebody else doesn't think I'm pretty," she said.

The boys certainly don't seem to mind that confidence, Cameron!

RE: Cameron's child-free life is 'unbelievable'

i admire her ambition for her career & everything, but i doubt i'd be able not to have kids. i love children & would love to have a few running round.. so i'd pick kids over a career. but hey, some women dont roll my way & dont want or need to have kids

isnt it amazing how we're all conditioned to think that its a right for women to have children. i dont have any problems whatsoever with women who dont have kids out of choice. why should they just because society expects it. men arent expected to and arent criticised if they openly say they dont want kids but as soon as woman says the same thing people think the worst of that person. jennifer aniston was critised for 'allowing' her marriage to fail cos she didnt give brad the kids he wanted - what utter crap why should she have had them just to keep him happy and whos to say the marriage wouldnt have failed even if they did have kids.

& lovingmum, if they did have kids & their marriage failed, then the kids wouldnt be happy & it could damage them.. so really, it might have been a good thing that they didnt have kids!

exactly racheal look at all those kids who have a tough life and are shoved from pillar to post just cos their parents go away on holiday or they want to entertain or are too busy to care for their kids surely cameron and many women like her are taking a responsible and sensible approach by admitting that there is no room for kids in their lives whats wrong with that..........each to their own i say it just all depends on what people want from their life
