Madonna to appear on The X Factor?

Madonna is rumoured to be performing on this year's series of The X Factor, along with a host of other celebrity guests.
Simon Cowell might have even more surprises up his sleeve, though, allegedly undertaking talks with Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Lady GaGa, who are also rumoured to be performing on the show.
The high-trousered music mogul is said to be particularly keen on Madonna and Robbie Williams, telling sources that this could be an opportunity to put the focus back into their singing careers after their respective media scandals.
Madonna has been under particular scrutiny after the scandal involving her adopted daughter Mercy, whom she recently brought to London from Malawi.
The news could hint at more artist-themed nights after Britney Spears and Take That featured on last year's show, culminating in an exclusive performance after the contestants took on one of their hits for the public vote.
Hopefully Madonna's performance won't be as 'interesting' as Britney's was last year!
