Women 35 and over who 'never' have sex
Tuesday 16 February 2010
A survey has found that over one in four women aged 35 plus don't tend to have sex.
The research, released in preparation for the start of new TV series, The Secret Guide to Women’s Health TV, discovered that for 28% of the participants, making love is a memory rather than a reality.
The findings also suggest that being a mother can have an adverse effect on your sex life.
41% of childless women said that they were sexually satisfied, but only 12% of mums with a child could say the same.
Meanwhile, women working part-time were more content with their sex lives than full-time female workers.
Coleen Nolan, who will host the television show, said: "So many women are suffering from health problems they don't want to seek help for because they think it's embarrassing. The show will provide a platform to discuss problems they can't talk about with friends."
The survey quizzed 745 women aged 35 to 64.
Do the findings surprise you?
