Jordin Sparks shows off her 50lbs weightloss in electric blue bikini

She was the winner of American Idol back in 2007 and has endured a public battle with her weight ever since but it looks as though Jordin Sparks has finally beaten her diet demons.

She has modelled for plus-size clothing while speaking of her larger frame in the past claiming that she 'couldn't be stick thin.'

But it looks as though the Battlefield singer has had a change of heart as she shows off her new slimline figure on the cover of Shape magazine this month.

The singer dropped an astonishing 50lbs after deciding to completely overhaul her image and do something about her health.

The 22-year-old looks stunning in an electric blue bikini as she talks about overcoming her weight issues.



'I knew I had a long road ahead of me. I was barely working out, and my diet was a mess. I had to address when, what, and how much I was eating' she said.

She also revealed that she decided to change her eating and exercise pattern when she realised she should be making the most of herself now that she's at her prime in her twenties.

She added; 'I just wanted to be healthy. I remember thinking, ‘I’m in my prime. I should be happy and fit.’ That was the moment I decided that changes needed to be made.'

Despite admitting that she loves her food and curves in the past, Jordin is obviously confident with her new frame and seems overwhelmed by the weight that she has dropped,

'The weight really started falling off, and I could see my muscles. It was awesome.'
