"Hurrah!! I am so pleased to be able to report that I have now lost 1st and have reached the 10st mark! If someone had told me six weeks ago that I’d be a stone lighter in just a few weeks’ time I’d never have believed them. I am absolutely over the moon and feeling great - my husband has been paying me lots of compliments this week too, which has also put a smile on my face!

This week has been quite hard as I am in the process of selling my house and have had lots of viewings, which resulted in me taking the kids out for lunch or dinner most days. I went for the healthy option whenever possible but I’ve been running about so much that the odd biscuit here and there has crept in and it’s so hard not to keep dipping your fingers into that biscuit tin once you’ve had one. I’ve discovered it is better to have none and have stocked up on the free foods carrots and baby corn and necessary snack ingredients listed on the website to help me at least have a healthy option at hand.
This week I was surprised with the arrival of a Reebok EasyTone Step pack. I used to have a Reebok Step with DVD which I really enjoyed but after two knee operations it ended up in the garden shed gathering dust! However this EasyTone step is very different and the design ensures that it’s more resistance training rather than impact stepping, which is perfect for me and my poor old knees!
Another positive is the fact that I can now exercise in the comfort of my own home. Leaving the house to get to the gym is such a rigmarole for me, involving child care and travel, so it’s been great to have something that I can use here. I tried it out for the first time when Alex (my two year old) was at preschool. However, Maddie - my youngest who is just one, thought it was just the best toy ever and proceeded to sabotage my session by attempting to use it as a chair/climbing apparatus. Luckily she was quite taken with the music on the DVD so was easily distracted.
However, in the future I shall be using it when they are both asleep!
I actually found that I worked harder on the step DVD than I did on my personal training session and was totally worn out afterwards! The EasyTone is going to make a great addition to my exercise regime and I can’t see this one being consigned to the shed! Thank you, Closer!

I have a feeling that my diet is going to get harder now I’ve reached the 10st mark and losing the next half a stone is going to be a challenge. I hovered around the 10st mark for almost a decade before falling pregnant and now that I’ve lost the baby weight (wow still can’t believe I am saying that) the real work is going to begin. I also have to adjust to the fact that after having two babies in very quick succession, my body has totally changed. So whereas before I could be 10 stone with a bum and boobs now I’m 10 stone with the extra weight around my tummy and thighs, which I’m not so keen on. Also I have lost a lot of weight from my bust. I am going to be measured for a new bra this week as I have no idea how many sizes I have dropped but my current ones are literally gaping and hanging off me - hope I don’t lose my boobs completely!!
Anyway focusing on the positives I am really pleased to have reached such a vital diet landmark and here’s to losing that next half a stone!! Watch this space…
