"The disappointment from last week is long forgotten and I am really proud of myself that I stuck to it rather than consoling myself with chocolate (which has been know in the past!)

I am feeling so positive about everything, the diet is great and I am eating some wonderful healthy foods - there is a definite family favourite in the Prawn Spaghetti recipe - my daughters can't get enough of it! (See photo below)

I know it sounds very typical, but I genuinely can’t believe some of these meals are what you would call ‘diet food’ - they're just so yummy and it’s fantastic being able to still eat the same meals as my family.
I'm still working hard on the exercise front - I actually had a funny experience while running across a supermarket car park on Wednesday evening trying to doge the rain. I was carrying my youngest daughter and had my handbag on my other arm when I realised my linen pants (that I only purchased at Easter!) were slipping down. I did manage to save my dignity (just!) but we all got soaked as I tried to pull them back up! What a great feeling though - in the space of three weeks, I’ve managed to lose enough weight and change my body shape so that my pants fall down!!
I have been fortunate enough to experience ‘Graze boxes’ - www.graze.com - this week and they are fantastic! A little bit of heaven dropped through the door.
Each box contains 4 snack pots including things like nuts, seeds, olives and even chocolate! As has been mentioned before, my youngest daughter has recently been diagnosed with dairy and egg intolerances and it was wonderful that I was able to share some of these healthy snacks with her! She particularly enjoyed the orange and ginger flapjack while my favourite was definitely the tomato dipinetti (cherry tomato relish with rosemary grisinetti which is similar to bread sticks for just 97 calories!) I have left the Olives with chilli and garlic to share with my husband! They are so handy as you can pop one in your bag ready for when that peckish feeling arises!
I am pushing myself as hard as I can with exercise while fitting it in with my family life. This week I have continued running with my friend (see below).

I was exhausted but exhilarated when we returned and I’m definitely getting further each time.
We are covering a circuit of approx 1.7 miles and my aim is to run it all by the end of June! We passed two of my daughter’s friends as we got close to home and I even got a round of applause of them, I think I must have looked like I deserved it!
I’m also making trying to make ‘fitter’ lifestyle options such as walking quicker (trying to get my heart rate going) when I’m going to and from school and opting to take the stairs when the option is available. The girls are really enjoying this change and we’ve had some fun ‘races’ as well as family competitions on the Wii!!
I feel much less bloated and comfortable now and my skin has also continued to improve.
Talking of skin, another product I have had the privilige of testing is a product called ‘Bootcamp Arms’ - check it out here - This is a 30 day skincare and exercise system which combats bingo wings! That is something I’d love to get rid of so I am following the daily skincare and exercise routine by the book. Although it has only been a few days and it is hard to to tell whether they've made a difference just yet, they feel lovely and the serum smells gorgeous! Hopefully I’ll be able to update more next week but until then I’m enjoying rubbing it in as directed and following the exercise schedule!
I have resisted all temptation this week I'm happy to report. There was one particularly hard day though; a birthday party. It started at 4pm and I hadn’t had my tea yet, the children were served their party tea but left quite a bit of it. I would normally have thought nothing of finishing off both plates (before going home for my tea!) but I moved them away quickly to take away the temptation. I even managed to turn down a beautiful hand made fairy cake. As I am starting to feel the benefits, the ability to say no is becoming easier – I don’t want to waste any of the effort I have put in so far!
As this week concludes I am aware that I am starting to make a little bit more effort with myself. Most school/work mornings are a rush and in recent months I’ve fallen into the habit of pulling my hair back or going out without makeup and I think that, as I am beginning to feel better about myself, I am wanting to make more effort on the outside too!
Next week is going to be more of a challenge as I am going on holiday to sunny Spain but I can’t wait to fill you in – wish me luck!!
