Celebrity Diet Secrets: Jessica Taylor

Singer and model Jessica Taylor, 29, tells us what’s in her fridge
Where do you shop?
I go to Sainsbury’s because it’s my nearest supermarket or my local deli in between.
How much do you spend?
A big shop would be £100 or more, once a fortnight.
What is your typical daily diet?
Porridge or toast with marmite for breakfast, jacket potato and salad for lunch, and in the evening I’ll have a roast, lasagne or sausage and mash. I don’t tend to snack.
What’s the most unusual ingredient in your fridge?
A seasoning called Aromat from South Africa – my husband [cricketer Kevin Pietersen] loves it.
Is there anything you refuse to eat?
I’d never eat foie gras – I think the way it’s produced is cruel. I don’t like meat that’s served rare either.
If you could take three foods to a desert island, what would they be?
Pizza, as it has loads of calories and would keep me going, my mum’s roast chicken dinner and a fry-up – I can never resist!

Nutritionist Dr Barbara Wilson says:
“Jessica seems to have a soft spot for comforting, traditional foods such as roast dinners, fry-ups and sausage and mash, which are high in fat and salt. Luckily, these less healthy foods are balanced with low-fat dairy and fruit and veg, but Jessica should watch her salt intake, especially with pizza and Marmite in her fridge too.”
