Don't slip into bad habits on your hols!
Sunday 01 August 2010
When you're on your summer holidays, you probably wanna be doing a bit of sight-seeing and a lot of eating nachos by the poolside, before hitting the town at night-time. But your Bikini Blitz team don’t want you to forget about your health while on vacation!
So we've come up with some ways to keep in shape while on your hols!
Before you jet off though, make sure you check out Closer Diets' Bikini Blitz plan - a six week low-cal meal plan that will help you lose weight at a faster rate than normal while still enjoying three main dishes and two snacks every day.
If you're looking to lose weight, Closer Diets offers 24/7 advice from experts, a personalised meal plan and guaranteed weight loss of at least 2lbs a week.
Without further ado then, here are some tips for staying in shape on your hols!
Go for a swim every morning – getting ten lengths in a day won’t take much time and will make sure you don’t lose tone on your holiday.
Head to the beach for at least one run – this will be fab for sculpting your legs as the sand makes it harder to run. The sea air will do you the world of good and the views will be breathtaking. Ensure you put sun cream on if you do decide to go for a jog on the beach!
Find out what facilities your hotel has – if your accommodation has tennis courts, be sure to pack your tennis rackets. There are sometimes dance/aerobics classes going on at the poolside as well which you could join in with.
Do some outdoorsy sight-seeing – a trek to a waterfall will ensure you’re exercising!
Make sure you’re incorporating healthy foods into your diet – whilst we expect you to indulge in an ice cream here and some chips there, be sure to eat fruit and veg on hol! Fish is a good choice as far as meat is concerned for keeping off the pounds.
Eat three meals a day and drink lots of water – Eating three meals a day will ensure your metabolic rate doesn’t slow down. If you ate only one meal a day, your metabolic rate would slow down to conserve energy, making you find it more difficult to lose weight. Meanwhile, water will keep you hydrated and keep your skin in good condition.
By including the above into your holiday experience, you’ll be kind to your body. And if you love a drink or two or, I daresay, three on hol, remember to detox when you come home!
