Liz Hurley's diet secrets cause controversy

Thursday 26 August 2010

Liz Hurley has sparked controversy by revealing she has virtually nothing for breakfast to stay in shape.

The stunning actress tweeted what she swears by to look as she does… and ended up annoying a whole load of dieticians.

Following a holiday in the South of France, she tweeted: ‘My diet survived the onslaught of phenomenal vacation food-doctors disagree, but I swear by almost nothing for breakfast for adults.

‘Mugs of hot water first thing, maybe an espresso and a few oat cakes mid morning.’

And just before that she tweeted: ‘Another workout in the gym with the Australian and an awful lot of hot water. Sick of it now.’

The Daily Mail quotes nutritionist Carina Norris as saying: ‘If you think that some hot water and a coffee is all you need to look like Liz Hurley, then I’m afraid you are wrong.’

She explained that a far healthier breakfast would consist of porridge topped with fruit and nuts and a glass of orange juice.

Liz previously revealed she ate only one meal a day with the odd batch of six raisins for a snack when trying to shed her baby weight.

‘The only meal I have is dinner. I'm on a good old-fashioned low-cal diet. I'm going to bed hungry,’ she said.

And Liz’s weird diet secrets don’t stop there – her fascination with the watercress soup diet meant she drank six cups of the stuff a day and even served it up at dinner parties.

We’ll make sure we eat before we come to one of your dinner parties Liz!

Are you shocked by Liz's diet secrets?

RE: Liz Hurley's diet secrets cause controversy

mmm...am same as Our Liz, unfortunately. Caffeine for breakfast is essential, working at 6.30 is not the time for food.
Grazing is good....bananas, oat cakes, yoggies, grapes.
But why diet? Just eat when you're hungry.
NEVER EVER DIET! Being fat isn't a feminist issue, it's a psychological one.
No diet-club really wants you to be slim...where's the money going to come from if you're successful?
