Meet two Closer readers who are on a mission to lose weight for the summer.

If you want to look and feel fab too, sign up today to closerdiets.com

Those hot sunny days are almost here and Closer readers Kamala Samways and Rebecca Ford are about to blitz their bodies as they prepare to flaunt their curves this summer.

For the next 10 weeks, Closer will follow the progress of our duo, who will share their triumphs and their slip-ups as they embark on their new healthy eating and exercise plans.

We hope you’ll be inspired by Kamala and Rebecca’s weight-loss journeys and join the closerdiets.com dieting community where you’ll receive all the support and help you need to achieve your ideal figure.

Our dieters will be given a healthy eating plan by Closer’s nutritionist Catherine Matthews and get to try out and rate the latest fitness trends as well as be given an easy to follow, manageable exercise plan.

Catherine says: “We can't wait to get started with Rebecca and Kamala. The girls are really determined to not only get in shape for the summer but to change their lives for the better! We are going to support them all the way and help them to reach their target weight in a healthy way. We wish them all the luck in the coming months on their weight loss journey!”

In July, we’ll unveil the results of their efforts, when they will take part in a glamorous photoshoot.

So, follow their progress on their indivdual blog pages below and happy dieting ladies!!

“Losing weight would improve my whole outlook on life. This summer I’d love to be able to wear some of my old summer clothes, and even splash out on some new ones.

“I put on weight in 2010 when I underwent IVF for two months to have my first child. The hormones didn’t seem to agree with me and over the course of about two years I had gained 4st in total! I lost 3st, but when my first son was four months old, I fell pregnant again.

With two children under two – Madeline, one, and Alexander, two – I don’t have much time for exercise even though my old job was a horse riding instructor. I am so tired I just reach for sugary snacks to boost my energy – both my babies have been ill and are often up during the night. I am desperate to get the old me back. My husband is very supportive of me, and he just wants me to be happy.”

Working mum-of-two from Northumberland

Height: 5ft 8

Goal weight: 10st 7lbs

“My first memory of losing weight is when I was just seven years old. My mum gave me £1 for every 1lb of weight that I lost. I was never significantly overweight, but I was always slightly stockier and much bigger than my older brother, which was picked up on. I definitely got my genes from my dad’s side!

“Since then, I have always yo-yoed – losing and gaining weight. In January 2011, I weighed 18st but by July I was down to 11st 7lbs, following another diet plan but since then I have gained weight again. That diet plan was just a diet, not a lifestyle change – which is what I need. As soon as I hit my target, I went back to eating takeaways and chocolate all the time until the weight just crept back up.

I know I lost too much too quickly and that’s why I am putting weight on again. My problem is that I don’t exercise – I would love to run but I’ve always felt like I couldn’t do it or that I would look silly. And I work from home as a HR co-ordinator so the fridge is always just a few steps away. My youngest daughter Isla, three, has a dairy and egg intolerance so healthy family cooking is a must for us. I’m starting to feel frumpy and I really want to be the person I know I can be.”

"It was back when I started high school that I remember putting on weight. Without prepared lunches made for me anymore, I was left completely to my own devices and nine times out of ten, I would make the wrong food choices. Fizzy drinks, chips and chocolate were an every day occurrance for me.

I was always a size 12-14 but since giving birth to my two children, I've gone up to a 16-18. I have joined slimming groups in the past along with fad diets, like eating only once a day and replacing meals with shakes, but to no avail. I lose weight, start eating normally again and put it all back on again. I think I have finally reached a point in my life where enough is enough! I mean, how much longer can i go on being a yo-yo dieter?

I'm hoping that Closer Diets is going to help me to see food in a diffrent light - no more crazy fad diets but good food that my body needs. I feel like a switch has finally been turned on and I'm ready to lose this weight for good!"

RE: Introducing our real life dieters!

This is one of the reasons I love Closer! So nice to see real women in the mags with real stories... I personally find it more inspiring than celebs whose lives are soooo different from normal people!! I'm currently losing weight myself by exercising more and eating less... also following a low GI diet. I found recording my calories on MyFitnessPal was really useful. I've been dieting for three months now and have gone down from 12 stone to 10.2lbs. My target is 9 stone. It's hard keeping motivated all of the time so I am always flicking through mags and the internet for before and after pics and motivating stories. In the beginning I kept feeling hungry and craving sweet foods but my friend recommended FULLfast which is a natural appetite control spray and that really helped me a lot. I don't think I could have done it without the help. I would def recommend it to anyone on a diet! Also Pinterest is my latest addiction... so many pics to get you motivated to train and eat healthy. Anyway keep up the good work girls and keep us posted as to how you get on!
