As Team Bikini continues its quest to get you a bikini bod by the summer, toning the bum is next on our agenda.

Bottoms are in abundance as everywhere we turn celebrities are showing off their faultless rears to full effect and who can blame them?! Arguably leading the pack is Kylie Minogue, whose bum has been revered for a decade or so now.

So how can we mere mortals possibly aspire to garner ourselves a celebrity style bum? By working on our diet, our exercise regime, tackling cellulite and showing our derrieres the attention they deserve, we could soon be grooving in our very own sparkly set of hot-pants.

Diet


- Make little and often your motto: try to eat six small, regular meals a day, this keeps your metabolism up and blood sugar levels stable, leaving fat no chance to cling to your behind.
- Eat slow releasing carbohydrates, including oats, brown rice, barley, lentils and beans as these counter changes in blood sugar levels which can cause fat to nestle on your bottom. Avoid, white bread, white rice, pastries and chocolate.
- Sea vegetables such as seaweed are a rich source of iodine a mineral needed to control metabolism.

Exercise

The following exercises all help to firm, tighten and tone areas under attack by cellulite:

- Squats
- Lunges
- Abductors
- Step Ups

Cellulite-busting

- Get some roughage in you, this helps speed up the elimination of waste in your body.
- Detox regularly, as this can help break down the toxins that cause cellulite.
- Separate dense carbs from dense proteins, i.e. less meat and potatoes, more meat and veg!
- Berries, greens and plenty of water all help in cellulite zapping.

Grooming

-Your rear ending face requires as much grooming as your regular one.  Dry skin brushing your whole body, paying particular attention to your bum every day is a form of exfoliation which gets rid of dead skin cells while boosting lymph circulation to eliminate toxins.
- In the shower alternate blasts of hot and cold water on your bum to improve circulation and tone the skin.
- Scrub your bum with a home made body scrub, consisting of sea salt with olive oil and ten drops of juniper essential oils. This will give you baby soft skin.
