Say bye to bingo wings!
Wednesday 12 May 2010
Fancy saying goodbye to your wobbly bits and hello to a bikini body? With summer fast approaching, we are all dreaming of holidays and the frolicking in the sun that involves.
So, Closer Diets' Team Bikini campaign is here to get you one step closer to being bikini confident, and today arms are on our body-shaping agenda!
Whoever said that sexy toned arms like Jennifer Aniston's were just for the A-listers? Upper arms are easy to tone if you follow these simple exercises - bye bye bingo wings!
Arm exercise 1
Grab a pair of small weights - or failing that use two cans of baked beans. Stand with legs shoulder-width apart. Holding the weights, raise your arms straight towards the sky, with your palms facing down.
Bring your arms down again slowly, keeping them straight until they reach shoulder level, then return to the starting position. Repeat this a couple of times in sets of eight to target problem areas in your upper arms and shoulders.
Arm exercise 2
Next up is another weights exercise for you. Keeping hold of your weights, stand in a squat position with your feet shoulder-width apart, letting your arms hang down by your sides. Bend your arms at the elbow to bring your weights to shoulder level. Hold this for a second and then push your arms up straight above your head.
Finish by bringing your weights straight back down to shoulder level and then bring them down again to hang by your side, as you started. Repeat this eight to ten times to really sculpt those arms and get bikini-ready.
Arms exercise 3
Lastly, without your weights, (shock, horror), stand with your feet slightly apart and both arms stretched out straight to the sides, at shoulder level. Ensure your fingertips are pointing up towards the ceiling and that your palms are facing straight outwards.
Create small circles with your arms and after every five, make the circumference of the circle increasingly bigger, doing five in each size. Continue until you can’t circle any bigger. From here, make the circles get smaller and smaller, until you are back to where you began. Repeat this 3- 5 times to define all those arm muscles.
Follow this routine daily and before long you will be proud to bear your beautiful celebrity inspired arms. Jen, eat your heart out!
