How many times have you been disappointed?

Tuesday 06 September 2011

What’s the difference between getting what you want and getting what you’re given?

The life you want should be something you ‘do’ not something that happens ‘to’ you but how many times do you find things not going your way and wondering why stuff always seams to happen to you…

How many times have you been disappointed? But how many times have you stopped just before the good bit? You don’t know and you will never know because you stopped before you got the chance to find out for sure… I’m not blaming you, you stopped when you thought you couldn’t take any more or when the voice of ‘no’ got louder than the voice of ‘yes…’ But what about the voice of ‘maybe’ and the voice of ‘what if?’

Of all the inner voices most of us battle with it’s the voice of ‘what if’ that I fear the most… The voice of ‘no’ will just make you stop, the voice of ‘maybe’ will make you curious but the voice of ‘what if’ will hurt you more than any other. Do you really want to wonder what might have been if only you had stayed in it long enough to really find out for sure? I’m sure you don’t and neither you should.

There are 16 weeks left this year… that’s’ 112 days to make a difference.

Pick an area of your life that you were just about to give up on and then do this…

Listen to your wisdom in your heart, your soul

Listen to your wisdom it’s yours, you know

Listen to others then do what YOU want

Listen, then just get on with it… it’s as simple as that

Whatever it is, if you want it enough you can and should have it BUT you very likely will have to do things a little differently but hey that’s ok, after all the way you’ve been doing it hasn’t worked so you should know better already.

Most people only do things when there is a big enough impending event and they have a good enough reason too… Set your date for success and go for it. Do not give up, live from your heart and make only the choices that are right for you and never wonder what if… not ever!

See you at your winning line!

RE: How many times have you been disappointed?

Great post Ali - self sabotage is something I recognise happening many times. I am going for something right now in life and can feel the doubts rising but pushing forward and this post is a great reminder that I need to keep going - thank you x
