All-star gigs for Teenage Cancer Trust
Thursday 19 February 2009
Kasabian, The Stereophonics, Anthony And The Johnsons – they’re just some of the bands supporting The Teenage Cancer Trust this year.
From the March 24 –29 a whole host of big names from music and comedy will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London to raise cash for the charity.
The Closer Online team were shocked to learn that every day in the UK six people between the ages of 13-24 will be told they have cancer and tragically, it’s the most common cause of death for this age group.
So this is a well worthy cause, people!
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan said: "It's great we can continue to support Teenage Cancer Trust and help them make a difference. We were inspired after meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at our gigs last year and it really made us want to do more for the charity."
And it's not just music on offer. Having just presented the Brits, Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Mat Horne will be closing the event with a giggle when they host their evening of comedy on March 29.
