Size 16 'is women's new national average'
Friday 13 August 2010
Put the doughnut down! Apparently, our waistbands are getting bigger!
According to new figures, the new national average is a size 16 and more and more people are ordering XL clothes – in fact they’ve doubled in the past 5 years.
The results found that more than 6 million of us ladies are considered ‘plus size’.
The startling figures continue…50% of adults are overweight.
Females are not the only ones to feel the load. Because people are getting bigger, so must the clothes and stores now have to expand their sizes.
