Don't let money slip through your fingers
Friday 05 March 2010
Do you plead guilty to letting your money slip through your fingers? If so, you’re not on your own. Here at Closer HQ, we’ve thought of ways to keep hold of our money and we thought we’d share them with you, ’cause that’s the kind of web team we are:
ZIPPED BAGS
If you tend to lose things on a night out – something to do with being a little tipsy quite possibly – invest in a zipped bag. A bag with a zip won’t just pop open and scatter your notes and change everywhere. A note of caution - make sure you zip the bag up!
ONLINE COMPARISONS
At the risk of getting the Go Compare advert’s song stuck in your head, use sites such as Go Compare and Moneysupermarket.com to get the best deal you can find on car and home insurance.
CAR BOOT SALES AND EBAY
If you want to make some money out of the things you don’t want anymore, you could sell stuff online on sites such as eBay or, the old-fashioned way, at a car boot sale. As everyone is different, someone might want the gear you are ready to dispose off, which means more cash for you!
PACKED LUNCHES
Pack a lunch for work so that you don’t spend money unnecessarily on eating out. If you pack it the night before, you’ll have time to make it tasty. Check out some of our healthy sandwich ideas.
SAVING
Deposit a certain amount of your money in a savings account or savings box every week. After a few months, you will have saved enough to treat yourself to something wonderful, perhaps even a holiday!
Happy saving!
