Girl, 4, applies make-up to look like Princess

When tiny teya-marie Foster gets home from infant school, she reaches for her make-up case before her toys.
Shockingly, the four year old knows how to apply a full face of make-up including mascara and eyeliner – encouraged by mum Chelsea, 23, who taught her how to do it.

Bizarrely, Teya-Marie’s behaviour stems from an obsession with Jordan’s daughter Princess, who turns four in June and hit the headlines after Jordan allowed her to wear fake eyelashes. Now Teya wants to be a model like Jordan when she’s older – with her doting mum revealing she’d even be happy for Teya-Marie to pose topless eventually.

“People are shocked when they see her with mascara, but it makes her happy and she looks cute,” says Chelsea. “I’d love her to be a model – I wouldn’t mind if she did glamour modelling and I won’t stop her having a boob job when she’s 18 if she wants one.”

Teya-Marie’s obsession with Princess started aged three when she heard her mum saying she looked like Jordan’s daughter.

“When Teya-Marie heard us talking about the similarity, she asked us to call her Princess,” says Chelsea, who lives with her partner Andrew Bruce, 21, and sons Lewis, seven, and Blake, six, in Rotherham.

“We’ve followed Jordan’s reality show since Teya-Marie was tiny. She loves it and even says ‘that’s me’ when Princess comes on screen!

“Seeing Princess having her hair straightened and wearing make-up made Teya-Marie want to copy her. There’s nothing wrong with Jordan letting her daughter do it – it’s normal girlie behaviour,” she says.

Chelsea, who is no longer with Teya-Marie’s father, is more than happy for her daughter to wear full make-up and even taught her how to apply it herself – something she does most days after school.

“I apply her liquid eyeliner because her hand’s not steady enough but she does the pencil eyeliner, blusher, eyeshadow and mascara. I can’t believe how good she is – better than most women!” says Chelsea.

“I once let her wear mascara to school but the teacher told me not to. I was shocked – if she wants to wear make-up I can’t tell her not to. I wear it – it’d be hypocritical. The only thing I won’t let her wear is foundation – she doesn’t need it, she has good skin,” Chelsea says, without a hint of irony.

“If she wants to wear foundation when she’s seven, I’ll let her – she’ll be old enough to make up her own mind by then.”

Chelsea – who, along with partner Andrew, lives on benefits and hasn’t worked since 2006 – reveals her own mother would prefer Teya-Marie not to wear make-up and admits she’s faced criticism from strangers in the street. She reveals: “Someone said she shouldn’t be wearing make-up, but it’s no one else’s business.”

Despite denying there’s anything wrong with making her girl look older than she really is, Chelsea admits Teya-Marie looks “more grown-up” than most four year olds. She does worry about Teya-Marie’s looks attracting paedophiles, but states: “She’s always with me and always safe.”

Dr Chris Flower, director general of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, says: “A four-year-old’s body isn’t mature enough to deal with the ingredients in make-up, so there is a risk she could develop allergies to them in later life.”
