Baby trader: 'I'm marrying my toyboy'
Monday 08 December 2008
Judith Kilshaw and her toyboy Stephen Sillet hug and kiss like teenagers in Santa’s sleigh. Then Stephen, who has chosen the surreal setting of Welsh “Lapland” to propose to her, gets down on one knee.
“Yes,” screeches Judith, 55. And the excited grandmother can’t wait to tell her ex-husband Alan – who she’s asked to give her away – the happy news.
Judith and Alan, 53, made headlines in 2001 when they tried to buy six-month-old American twins via the internet. Despite the girls being promised to another couple, the pair flew to America to smuggle them back into the UK.
The Kilshaws were forced to give the children back, and the court case left them bankrupt and their marriage in ruins, with Judith dubbed “Britain’s most hated woman.”
Looking back to that time, Judith admits she has no regrets about trying to buy the babies for £8,200. But she concedes: “My dreams of having another baby are long over, I’m just happy to be marrying again!”
Judith split from Alan in 2006 and found comfort with IT worker Stephen who, at 42, is 13 years her junior. And despite him calling off their short engagement last year, Judith is convinced they’ll get married in March.
Talking about the surprise proposal – which Stephen secretly invited Closer along to – she gushes: “It was so romantic. I’ve asked Alan to give me away because we’re all good friends, and I’ll ask my sons to be page boys!”
Judith admits she started seeing former busker Stephen behind Alan’s back after meeting him in a nightclub in 2006. Just months later, she left Alan and her four children – Louise, 29, Caley, 26, James, 15, and Rupert, 10 – to set up home in a two-bedroom terrace in Wrexham, north Wales, with Stephen.
She says: “I couldn’t resist Stephen. He’s funny and we have a great sex life. My daughters haven’t spoken to me since, but Alan and my sons were more understanding.”
After living with her younger lover for a year, Judith decided to propose last October. Stephen accepted and she threw herself into planning their big day but, just a month later, Stephen called off the engagement.
“He wanted to postpone the wedding, but wouldn’t give me a reason,” says Judith. Confused and hurt, Judith dumped Stephen and moved in with her mum.
“I was so miserable,” says Judith. “I missed playing Scrabble and singing along when Stephen played his guitar.” Judith, who works part-time as a cleaner, admits that last Christmas was horrible.
She says: “Me and mum had Weetabix and crumpets for Christmas dinner. I couldn’t be bothered to cook because I was depressed. It was the worst time of my life.”
Incredibly, Stephen feels no guilt for what he put Judith through. “Judith is very possessive and jealous,” he says. “I wasn’t sure we were doing the right thing by getting married, so I called it off.” But just weeks into the new year, Judith decided to give Stephen another chance.
“We got back together, and I forgot all about getting married,” she says. So it came as a huge surprise when he proposed to her last Saturday.
Stephen says: “Since last year Judith has sorted out her problems. This was the most romantic way I could think of to propose.”
Now Judith says she can’t wait to walk down the aisle in March 2009. She adds: “This time I know we’ll get married. The proposal was so romantic – I must be the envy of every woman.”

What a waste of time, the marriage, if it goes ahead, won't last five minutes, she is being very naive.

RE: Baby trader: 'I'm marrying my toyboy'
Envy of all women????....She's as thick as she looks then!
Where on earth do you get these thickos from?
Err sorry love but if my bloke had proposed to me in a cheap santa sleigh that looks rather like a digger with some cheap tacky tinsel in a cheap tacky 'theme park' in Wales, with a grown man pretending to be santa id have chopped his balls off and rammed the bloody ring down his neck!
Why on earth would any of us want to know this shite!!!
She'l be on Jeremy Kyle next week saying she caught him with her daughter or something seedy!
The money's obviously dried up from all the tacky day time shows she was on when she tried to kidnap those babys and thought she'd make afew quid by getting in a mag saying how happy she is now!
Bet her kids are really proud......NOT!
I think lapland,more like CRAPLAND!

RE: Baby trader: 'I'm marrying my toyboy'
Err i dont know if youve noticed but Closer only print story's in 'the real life' section that will either make our blood boil (the cromptons) or have us pissing ourselfs silly!!
This story was obviously the latter!
With the exception of the lady with no arms, closer knows these kind of story's will get us readers sending in our comments!
I dont take anything back what i said above, its my opinion!

RE: Baby trader: 'I'm marrying my toyboy'
It's interesting reading some people's opinion of Judth and myself.
Things have since the adoption fiasco changed for the best. Both Alan and Judith are still the best of freinds, and I have never enjoyed living with someone has such a passion for life who does have an interesting story to tell. This year she lost her mother who she has stood by through thick and thin. Much of the commentary produced by tabloids and magazines has (sometimes negavitively) exagerated the situation. Judith has been steadfast and has not flinched at some of the above. I know for certain that all concerned will be enjoying a merry Christmas. Whatever your opinion may we wish you Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Stephen

RE: Baby trader: 'I'm marrying my toyboy'
This evening, I have to go to the hospital to see Judith. Yesterday she had an operation to take her gall bladder out.. For a whole year she persisted not knowing the cause of her physical pain. Fortunately like so many others..keyhole surgery got the blighter out...there are out there people who treat you like dirt.. such as Birkenheads Cleaning company Entire. When Judith got ill, she left a message saying she was not well. The manager of Chicago Rock said.. I don't care...Her supervisor from Entire denied the recorded conversation which sacked her on the spot for not turning up. No verbal or written warning and no consideration that we all get ill from time to time. There are probably thousands of you out there, just like Judith who will take the most demeaning jobs to get on... If there is anything she deserves more.. is happiness... cos I've seen how much she cares for those who are immediate.. Love and Spirit , Stephen
