Man freezes during secret lovers tryst

A shocking discovery has recently been made about the death of the man during the bad weather conditions last winter.

The 29-year-old man, Syed Hussain, had secretly met up with his mistress one evening in December 2010 and sadly lost his life as temperatures dropped to minus 10 degrees Celsius.

The couple had met earlier that evening and spent the night cuddled up together in Syed’s garage in Luton. It is said that it was not their intention to sleep that night in the car, however, they dozed off.

Syed and his girlfriend Shabana Akhtar had been in a relationship for 3 years, but a year ago Syed tied the knot in an arranged marriage to a woman in Pakistan, as his parents did not approve of his and Miss Akhtar's relationship.

His wife lives in Pakistan and Miss Akhtar claims that he was never happy about their marriage. ‘We conducted the relationship in secret. His wife is in Pakistan but he was never happy with the marriage, it was a forced marriage.’

Unfortunately, it was Syed’s girlfriend who found him dead in the early hours of the morning. ‘I took a few minutes to gather my thoughts. It was cold, the car's heater was off. I turned the key but the car wouldn't start.’

She says she found him lying next to the car on his stomach. ‘I put my left foot out and immediately knew my foot was on something which was not the floor. I used my mobile phone light to look out of the car.’

Understandably Shabana in a state of shock called the emergency services, who had to break down the garage door in order to get in.

The inquest into Mr Hussain’s death found that he died as a result of excessive cold and was not intending to cause harm to himself that evening. ‘The only verdict I can record is a natural event from excessive cold and the circumstances would probably merit a verdict of misadventure.’
