Job where you work whilst you sleep

Do you find waking up in the morning for work particularly difficult?

If so, we might have found the perfect job for you, advertised in a Midlands newspaper yesterday.

A vacancy has arisen for a sleeping bag tester to try out Halfords’  bags in preparation for the music festivals and camping holidays synonymous with summer.

To use job advert jargon, the successful applicant must show, “an interest in camping and outdoors leisure activities”, but experience isn’t absolutely necessary.


Oliver Pinders of Halfords outdoor leisure said: “This is a real job. This is the age of peer-to-peer recommendation and the best person to talk about the merits of a sleeping bag is someone who has spent the night sleeping in it.

“It has to be completed soon so we can pass the results onto our customers ahead of spring and summer when demand is traditionally very high for our range of camping equipment.

“We want customers to have total confidence when making a purchase.”

He or she will be paid £10 an hour for five days - 60 hours - of work/sleep, whichever you prefer!
