Amanda Holden shaken after 6ft pigeon man scare

Pregnant Britain’s Got Talent Judge, Amanda Holden, was left shaken and scared after a man dressed as a six foot pigeon lunged towards her.

Phil Zimmerman lunged forward towards the 39-year-old judge, who was so scared she got out of her seat and took flight.

Security quickly stepped in and accosted the lone nutter saving Amanda, who is expecting a baby boy, from harm.

Hopeful Phil came on stage and tried to impersonate a pigeon and, unsurprisingly, he was badly received by the crowd at Hammersmith Apollo who booed him.

‘Amanda was really scared,’ an insider told The Sun. ‘The guy was very strange and she was worried about what he was going to do to her. She was convinced he was going to grab her.’

Before he decided to take flight, not literally of course, he had already thrown a flyer advertising his comedy club at the judges.

Phil, who lives in West London, has been performing stand up comedy since 1999.

His biography on a Comedy CV website states: 'His legendary mad pigeon act has been featured on the ITV 2 Show Gagging For It, and his performances have drawn comparisons with Charlie Chaplin and Tommy Cooper.'

Phil has also frequently appeared on Never Mind The Buzzcocks in the 'line-up' part of the comedy quiz show.

Co-judges Louis Walsh and Michael McIntyre were seated behind the judge’s desk as the bizarre events played out.

The 58-year-old X Factor mentor has been stepping in for regular judge David Hasselhoff, who has been filming an advert in Australia.

Simon Cowell has been holidaying in Barbados and will join the show later in the series.

Despite her odd attack Amanda tweeted later in the day: Taking to Twitter she said:  ‘Been possibly the best day we've ever had in London for BGT today!!Next week, Manchester here we come! X’
