Amelia: 'I can do this without The X Factor'

It was a bit of a shocker when Kelly Rowland chose 16-year-old Amelia Lily as the one to leave on Sunday night, after just one performance. But, it seems like the confident singer is over her upset, as she reveals that she 'doesn't need the X Factor' to do well in her career.
MSN TV had a catch up with Amelia the day after her shock exit where the pink haired songstress decided that she's 'already ready.'
She said: "What kelly's seen in me is that I have it, whereas the other girls, there's more of a journey for them, do you know what I mean? I think Kelly had to look at it as if 'Who do we need to see a bit more of? I think Kelly thought that I was already ready. She knows I'm going to do well."
Not sure the other girls would agree with you on that one, Amelia.
Sunday night proved for some very tense viewing after it was revealed that each judge would have to eliminate one of their acts, before the public even got a say so. And it was especially hard for Kelly, whose girls pulled it right out of the bag. After being left with Sophie on the stage after Janet and Mischa B were put through, Amelia heard the news that no X Factor contestant wants to hear - that she was booted off in the first week.
However, Amelia is adamant she's not upset with her mentor.
"I'm happy, Kelly gave me an inspiring chat after the show" She said.
"I literally feel like she had to pick names out of a hat, because that's how difficult it was."
"I remember Kelly saying to me - at the judges houses 'I can see in your eyes that you want it the most.' She still believes that now I'm sure."
