Amy Winehouse's dad to record an album
Thursday 05 November 2009
Amy Winehouse's dad Mitch is set to follow in his daughter's footsteps and record an album.
Mitch, who works as a cabbie in London, plans to record a collection of Frank Sinatra covers, which he will pair with some of his own songs.
The 58-year-old told The Sun: "It's a Sinatra-ish album. There will be six covers of Sinatra," adding that he and 26-year-old daughter Amy have long been singing together.
"We were always singing in the house," said Mitch, who is also Amy's manager and press representative.
He seems to have set his sights on fame this year, as he also has his own chat show Showbiz Rants, where he chats to celebrities in his cab.
Who knows - maybe he'll be a pop sensation! We can't wait to hear it!
Will you be buying Mitch's album?
