Ashley Cole had a whole lotta explaining to do last night after nude pictures of the footballer were sent to a glamour model's mobile phone.

Topless model Sonia Wild received saucy 'full-frontal' snaps of the Chelsea defender last June- married to TV personality and singer Cheryl Cole - and replied with naked videos of herself.

But Ashley - who allegedly cheated on his beautiful wife with a hairdressser in 2008 - has come up with a long-winded and rather bizarre explanation for the text scandal.

The 29-year-old claims that he took the pictures of himself on an unregistered mobile while staying in the England squad's hotel and forgot to delete them before passing on the phone to a mate because it had some credit left on it.

Cole told The Sun: 'I can't believe I gave a phone away that still had stuff in its memory. I thought I'd deleted it.

'It seems I was wrong as someone has used it to pretend to be me.'

One of the images in question shows Ashley lying in bed with a naked torso and is captioned: 'I look so ugly x'

Busty Sonia said of the sexy texts that were exchanged: 'At first I didn't believe I was actually in touch with Ashley Cole. But next thing I knew I received a picture of him lying in bed on my phone.

'I recognised him straight away from the pictures I'd seen of him with his wife Cheryl - but couldn't resist having a bit of fun. Before long the texts got hotter and hotter until we began exchanging sexy images on our phones.

'Whoever it was sent one full frontal one of his muscly torso. I sent back video footage recorded on my phone of myself naked and doing sexy things for him. At the time it was a laugh and a bit of a thrill for me.'

The model also claims that whoever was texting her from the unregistered phone was badgering her for meetings in London.

She said: 'He kept telling me how gorgeous I was and that we had to meet up - but I honestly wasn't interested in seeing him.

'I played him along but there was no way I was ever going to meet him in the flesh. I had no idea it wasn't Ashley Cole.'

Men should clearly stay away from mobile phones... Don't you think?

what a load of sh*t that is the worse excuse i have ever heard...
unregistered... he wouldnt be able to take pictures or send them or put credit on it...
and if he did give away the phone to a friend surely if its true he can procicute them??

Cheryl can do so much better then this slag! she is big herself now that she can get better then just a nice body and a footballer!

get rid of him he has done it once he will do it AGAIN!

I'm disgusted. That glamour model has nothing to be proud of. She obviously has no respect for herself or anyone else! What kind of person sends stuff like that to a married man?!? She should be ashamed of herself!

Cheryl needs to get rid of him. He's never going to change! Besides, he's a minger!!!

This story has only come out now because of the Vernon Kay sex txt "and what a fool he has been", such a stunning wife, not that Cheryl isn't but never the less, i and probably every other person except his naive little wife knows this is true, and because she gave him another chance he will take the piss. And yes he is a minger and a leech and a few other not very nice names i can't print. She needs to get rid, she is fine on her own and could have the pick of any man she chose, put him back where she found him, which basically is a , know- body and lets face it he's not even that good at football.

I may seem a bit harsh but Jesus wept! Cheryl can probably do better (only knowing what the girl looks like means I cant really comment) but let her crack on. Be a doormat, be taken the piss out of, be used! If she likes to have a husband who is a cheating SOB then shes on to a winner here. She has had the opportunity to get rid and get better but hasnt. I say good on you Ashley, you chose well.

i would,nt trust any footballer,their ego,s are bigger than their bank balance,why are,nt they satisfied with their lovely wives and children.If they can,t keep it in their pants they should stay single the slags they cheat with are no better they don,t care they are causing heartache to the families.i certainly would not have took him or terry back cheryl does,nt need him,she could have any man she wants they would just fall at her feet,cole and terry are both TOSSERS
