Alleged sexual assault trial for DJ Basehunter
Thursday 13 January 2011
Swedish DJ Basehunter has denied sexually assaulting two women at a nightclub.
The music star, whose real name is Jonas Altberg, was charged over alleged incidents at Kitty's nightclub in Kirkcaldy on December 10.
He pleaded not guilty to grabbing the women's hair and forcing their heads towards his groin, at the Fife town's Sheriff Court today, prosecutors said.
The charge relating to the second woman states he forced her to bend over, pulled up her dress and slapped her on the body.
Jonas, 26, is currently on bail but set to go on trial on May 18.
DJ Basehunter was a contestant in the Celebrity Big Brother house last year.
He did not speak to reporters as he left the court this morning.
The defendant turned up at the court along with his manager.
