Beyonce celebrates her 31st birthday and is showered with love from famous friends

She's one of the most famous women in the world and with a new baby, successful marriage and string of hit records Beyonce Knowles seems to have it all.



And, in case she ever gets those down days, her famous friends and family used her 31st birthday as an opportunity to  shower the singer with love and affection - creating a card full of well wishes and praise.

While  holidaying the Mediterranean with husband Jay Z and baby Blue Ivy, Beyonce shared a picture of the birthday card that included messages from Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Michelle Williams and husband Jay Z's mum.


Beyonce's longstanding friend Gwyneth wrote 'For Dear Sweet BB on the occasion of her 31st birthday…we love you so very much.'

The card was signed by Gwyneth's husband Chris Martin and children Apple and Moses.



Her format Destiny's Child bandmate, Michelle Williams, wrote 'Happy birthday to youuu!! I love you so very much. I am so thankful you're in my life.'

Sister Solange wrote a particularly touching note to her older sibling, saying : 'There is no-one like you in the world, of all of your mind blowing achievements that one that first comes to mind is your kindness.

'Your sense of selflessness, consideration of other people’s well being and your beautiful generosity are all things that make me so proud be your sister and your friend.'

And her mother in law, Gloria Carter, also had gushing words for the star, saying 'B, You came into my life a sweet Southern girl. (LOL) You've blossomed into an amazing woman. I admire how you remain grounded and humble, and you haven't let success change the person that you are. Mama Carter.'
