Big Brother house flooded!

Wednesday 18 August 2010

The nine contestants left in the competition were forced to leave the Big Brother house last night after it was flooded due to extreme wet weather conditions.

Described as a ‘freak incident’, water poured into the house and the housemates had to be evacuated to a nearby hotel as, what a spokesperson from Channel 4 called, a ‘precautionary measure.’ What a palava!

It is the first time in the history of Big Brother that all housemates have been evacuated from the house due to extreme rainfall. Contestants were closely supervised in the hotel to keep them away from the outside world. So no room service and cable TV for them!

The damage caused by the flood was said to be so severe that there was speculation that the housemates would not be able to return to the house to complete the series and would have to be filmed in an alternative location.

But Davina McCall has taken to Twitter to update us: : "Housemates back in house... all going to be ok. Love that Dunkirk spirit."

Just before the incident occurred, Josie was in the diary room and was given the chance to decide between proposing to George Lamb or turning John James into a crab as part of this week’s shopping task.

Josie chose to turn John James into a crab, not knowing that George Lamb was waiting in the task room just in case she wanted to pop the question and joked, “I’ve been blown out, haven’t I!’

Wrong decision Josie, we would have jumped at the chance to be George Lamb’s wife!
