Meet the Big Brother 10 housemates

Did you catch Big Brother last night? Well, if not, we can tell you that 16 new ‘housemates’ walked through the doors to the Big Brother house last night…… but not as real housemates.

Within minutes of them all arriving, Big Brother revealed that no one was yet an official housemate and that they would have to earn their status to remain in the house.

Those who fail or refuse a task will be left at the mercy of the public as to if they will be granted housemate status. On Sunday night any non-housemates will leave and be met by Davina during a special live show direct from the house.

GIRLS

Noirin
Age: 25
From: Dublin
Occupation: Retail Manager

Noirin is a self assured, straight talking Dubliner who admits she has a competitive streak. The former All Ireland Athletics champion believes that education is the answer to everything and she would rather be rich than famous. 

This self confessed ‘girly girl’ is not afraid to blow her own trumpet and claims that women are jealous of her and men fall in love with her.  Noirin says she is very particular and doesn’t like things being untidy or out of place.

Noirin lives with her parents and younger siblings and is a practising Catholic.  She lists one of her bad habits as not thinking before she speaks which sometimes means she will insult someone unintentionally.

Beinazir
Age: 28
From: London
Occupation: Study Support Assistant

Originally from Pakistan, Beinazir’s family were forced to seek asylum in the UK when she was a year old.  Her father was a supporter of former president Beinazar Bhutto, who she was named after, but this allegiance led to the family receiving death threats.

Beinazir’s favourite memory is when Benazir Bhutto came to her house. Growing up with two brothers has turned her into an ‘Alpha female’. 

Beinazir believes that all religions preach the same thing and would call herself a humanitarian.  Working with children has made her more patient, humble and open minded.  She says she’d make a ‘wicked housemate’, but her fellow housemates may not like her high energy levels.  Her life philosophy is ‘You get what you give, you are what you eat, work hard play hard, and be yourself.’


Sophie
Age: 20
From: Cheshire
Occupation: Glamour model

Sophie is a glamour model who would describe herself as one of the lads.  She lives at home with her parents, two older brothers and her two Chihuahuas Army and Moo.  She doesn’t claim to be hugely intelligent but hates the stereotypical blonde bimbo label. 

For the last two years Sophie’s main job has been promotional work - mainly standing around at motorbike shows in all weathers. Sophie, whose bra size is 30 GG, did her first topless shoot aged 18 and went on to pose nude for UK Playboy, but has never told her family. She regrets not going to university, and suffers from party envy when checking out her friends’ amazing social lives on Facebook.

Sophie doesn’t claim to know much about politics but likes Barack Obama because ‘his daughters look cute.’   She cares deeply about the war in Iraq and has raised over £10,000 for the troops through a well known campaign.  Sophie says that she’d make a good ‘President’ of England because everyone would listen to her.


Angel
Age: 35
From: South London
Occupation: Professional Boxer/Artist

Originally from Russia, Angel is an ex-rock star who moved to England twelve years ago.  She is passionate about boxing and fitness and runs a gym owned by her ‘adopted’ father, a former British & European boxing champion.  Angel is a teetotal non-smoker and if she could pass any laws she would make gyms free and introduce a four-day working week.

Angel left home aged 24 to become an international rock star; she was well known in Russia and released one album. Angel admits to being attracted to beautiful women and clever men but is currently single.

Angel feels that once in the house she will fit somewhere between the leader and follower.  She will approach the Big Brother experience like a boxing bout where you need to know your opponents strengths and weaknesses.


Lisa
Age: 41
From:  Birmingham
Occupation: Unemployed

Lisa admits to being a geeky and quiet teenager who came out to one of her teacher’s after being teased about being a lesbian. She has worked in various factories throughout her life and regrets that she left school before taking her exams. Lisa says that she’s learnt to go without, isn’t greedy and doesn’t ask for much.

Lisa’s friends would describe her flat as a ‘show home,’ and she admits her home is so clean you could eat off the floor.  Lisa is equally particular about her appearance and admits to being a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to her hair and make up. Her look can be either masculine of feminine depending on who she is dating at the time.

She enjoys flirting with both sexes and would love to ‘turn’ Angelina Jolie.  Her only bad habit is cleaning!


Sophia
Age: 26
From: London
Occupation: Private Banking Assistant

4ft11ins Sophia has suffered from Lupus since she was very young and thinks that this has given her a positive attitude and describes herself as fun, fierce and feisty.

Sophia still lives at home with her parents who say she is hilarious to live with.  At school she was an ideal student and says her proudest achievement was gaining an A* in GCSE English.  When he was younger she wanted to be a lawyer as she has the gift of the gab but changed her mind as she realised it would be too boring.

Sophia is single at the moment and says men give her headaches because she doesn’t know what they want. She doesn’t need a man to make her feel special.  Her worst habits are randomly breaking into song, farting all the time and talking to herself. She is not a quitter so if she can do a task then she will as she hates to lose.


Karly
Age: 21
From: Fife
Occupation: Unemployed

This FHM High Street honey works as a part time glamour model and believes that her job defines her 100% as she loves to show off, knows how to work the camera, and loves looking good.  Karly’s proudest achievement is being accepted to study art and design at Dundee University. She left after only three weeks.

Karly is passionate about women’s rights, empowering women and stopping domestic violence. She believes in God but would not class herself as a proper Christian as she has had sex before marriage. She says girls generally think she is a bitch but they are just jealous of her.

Karly believes she can win this series of Big Brother although she admits that her untidiness may make her unpopular with her fellow housemates. She is a massive flirt but won’t make the first move as she likes to be elusive. Her favourite part of her body is her bum.


Saffia
Age: 27
From: Nottingham
Occupation: Beauty Consultant

A mother of two, Saffia hates those who try to stereotype her as a single mum and strives to be just the opposite. She is adamant that no man would ever come between her and her children and will miss them ‘immensely’ but BB will be ‘her time’. Single Saffia said she considered turning lesbian because she is sick of men.

Saffia admits she always gets what she wants and says she’s usually perceived as a show-off, a bitch and a fantastic mum – she admits all are true. She snogged a DJ at a high-school disco and got suspended. Saffia loves the glamorous side of her job and says she’s a make-up and skincare snob.

Confident that she would win every task possible, Saffia says she is very competitive and has to come out on top, but doesn’t think she will win. She is taking part in Big Brother to provide some direction in her life although she does have a cosmic board which she writes on and they always happen.

BOYS

Rodrigo
Age: 23
From: Brazil
Occupation: Student

Rodrigo is half Italian, half Brazilian and came to the UK to study and to search for a better life.  His family still live in Brazil and he speaks to them everyday although he never wants to go back to Brazil saying “England is everything to me”.

Rodrigo thinks that British people find him “very strange” because he hugs and kisses people and is very tactile but he says this is just a cultural thing. Before he came to the UK he wasn’t interested in men but now he thinks he might be gay, although on average he dates an equal amount of men and women.

Rodrigo describes himself as ambitious and good hearted although he thinks his mother would say he is a little feisty at times because when he sees something wrong he can’t keep quiet.

Once, after a night out, he couldn’t afford the taxi home so paid the Taxi driver by giving him his shoes. His bad habits are that he picks his nose and feet when he is alone. Sometimes he also farts and blames it on other people.

After he finishes studying he wants to open a shop, although he doesn’t know what kind of shop yet.


Freddie
Age: 23
From: Market Drayton
Occupation: Entrepreneur

Oxford University graduate Freddie describes himself as a polymath: a free spirit for whom 2009 is about blossoming, which is why he decided to go into the Big Brother house.

Freddie lives with his parents in a stately home. He gets annoyed when people put his achievements down to the wealth of his parents.  He defines his parents as clever although they annoy him sometimes, but as their house is so large it doesn’t matter as he only really sees them at meal times.

Freddie was a member of the young conservative association although says he is an anarchist at heart. He has thought about becoming a politician recently although when he was four he wanted to be a palaeontologist. His dream job would be to be a rock star. The strangest job he has ever held was being a door-to-door salesman.

He says that he gets on with his siblings but has only recently got to know them as they were all at different boarding schools. His worst memory from childhood was when he was 7 years old and he suddenly had “existential fear” that he was always going to be a mummy’s boy  and never be able to stand on his own two feet.

Freddie doesn’t own a TV and claims that he doesn’t really have a clue how Big Brother works.

Charlie
Age: 22
From: Newcastle
Occupation: Customer Service Advisor

Charlie is a former Mr Gay UK contestant who won the Newcastle heat back in 2007. He has worked as a model but now works in customer service for the Job Centre which he loves. His favourite part of the job is the people that he works with, especially when he walks in he says “Good morning angels” and they reply “Good morning Charlie”.

A huge Big Brother fan Charlie thinks he has a good chance of winning as he isn’t a nasty person and the public will keep him in the house as it would be dull with out him. He says he has no game plan, and just wants to be himself in the house.

When he was younger he dreamt of being a pop star and really wanted to be in a boy band.  At school he says he was the centre of attention, kids wanted to sit next to him because he was funny. He thinks that some people think he is a show off and admits that on a night out he can often be found dancing on a stage or podium.

His worst childhood memory was when his two pet frogs Freddie and Eddie froze because he left them outside in their tank one night and he tried to defrost them with a hairdryer. He now has a phobia of frogs. If he could make any law it would be to create a national holiday in his honour.


Kris
Age: 24
From: Shrewsbury
Occupation: Visual Merchandiser

Kris says he dropped out of University after the girls stopped doing his work for him.  When he was younger he never had any job aspirations. He has worked as a model but now would like to open his own fashion boutique.  Kris has lived and worked in Ibiza and New Zealand.

Single Kris says he doesn’t have a girlfriend, through choice, because he is waiting for The One, although he does admit that he pulls someone every time he goes out.

Kris believes people see him as good looking, confident and focused which he says is totally wrong. He states “it is like having a Ferrari on the outside and a Scoda in the middle” but because of his looks no one expects any personality from him; “when the package is this pretty no one cares what is inside”.

Kris thinks he will pass every task BB sets the house, unless it involves shaving his head. He also thinks he can win.


Siavash
Age: 23
From:  Formally Iran, moved to the UK as a child
Occupation: Events organiser

Siavash grew up in Iran but moved to the UK when he was a child. He lives with his mum but mostly stays with friends. He has never paid a rent bill in his life.

Siavash dropped out of studying fashion at university, saying he hated it because he was surrounded by people without money. He is a slave to fashion and says that clothes define the individual. He is currently waiting for his big break to become a stylist, stating that he is going to be the biggest designer ever as he ‘knows how to do stuff’.

Siavash admits that his friends pay for everything - he will only go out if someone else has paid for the table. Similarly he says he doesn’t pay for clothes because his friends are designers. He is sure he will be a millionaire in ten years time.

His biggest regret in life is not having a bigger penis. One of his bad habits is that he blows bubbles with his spit. In the future he would like to be married and adopt some children because there is no point having any of your own because so many are homeless. If he could make a law it would be for ugly people not to be allowed to have children.


Sree
Age: 25
From: India
Occupation: Student Union Elected President

Sree grew up in India, and left the country for the first time when he came to England to study for a Masters in Business.  Although he grew up with cleaners and cooks, he says that now his female housemates look after him instead. Sree says that girls tend to love him as he can flatter anyone.

Sree intends to stay a virgin until he meets the right girl; he is looking for someone that is patient, committed and honest. His ideal woman is Beyonce.

Sree speaks to his parents every day. He calls them ‘living gods’ because they have given him life; he says he is close to all of his family. 

His main ambition is to be an actor or prime minister but he would also like to be a celebrity so that he can work for charities and raise awareness of disease.


Cairon
Age: 18
From: Florida
Occupation: Student

Cairon was born in London but moved to Florida when he was a year old. He returned two years ago and now lives in London with his dad.  Cairon is studying Performing Arts and one day would like to work in the music industry, ideally as a Hip Hop artist.

Cairon describes himself as a typical teenager who loves drinking, smoking and partying. He says that people perceive him as a joker or a ‘sarcastic prick’ and that his dad calls him Cassanova as he used to be a ‘player’ but not so much anymore.

Ciaron doesn’t think that Big Brother will change him as a person and says he will continue with his education and follow the same dreams. He predicts he will come in the top 5.


Marcus
Age: 35
From: London
Occupation: Window Fitter

 Something that Marcus has not done for 20 years is share a house with someone, let alone 15 fellow housemates. He describes himself as a big kid in a man’s body and exaggerates everything to tell a ‘cool story’. Thinks Big Brother will be “like a mini Butlins and a regression into childhood”.

Marcus has a Siamese cat who he describes as ‘a bit of a bastard’ as he steals money and sabotages plants. People who dislike his hair offend him.

Marcus aims to do as many evening classes as possible  and has completed courses in Japanese, interior design, grounds maintenance, health and safety, food safety, first aid, construction and he’s currently doing an IT course. One of the proudest moments in his life was renovating the windows in Windsor Castle. A porn star or toy designer would be his ideal job.
