BGT: The Loveable Rogues
Monday 23 April 2012
We love a talent show here at the Closer HQ and recently, we've been spoilt for choice! The Voice, Britian's Got Talent - it's a surprise we manage to leave the house on a Saturday night really!
And it's even better when we watch an act that we can truly imagine having hit records for years to come - cue The Loveable Rogues.
The trio, ranging from 18-20, took to the BGT stage in Cardiff and blew the socks off of the judging panel. The trio, Sonny, Eddie and Té performed their own song, Lovesick with a guitar, a ukelele and some great vocals.
The crowd were won over instantly by the trio's cheeky charm and Alesha Dixon seemed to be taken by the guys too. She said: 'Your personalities are just shining in abundance, I think you're my favourite act so far.'
Simon agreed and likened them to Brit-pop group, Madness. He said: 'It was like listening to a Madness track again. And you look good. You look really good'
David told the guys that he would buy their single now if it was available before giving them the thumbs up.
Closer online managed to grab the guys for a quick chat as they grabbed some lunch in McDonalds (as you do...)
When asked why they chose BGT over any other talent show, Te said: “We wanted to be credible and it took us ages to get round the concept of applying.
“But we didn’t want to apply for The Voice or The X Factor because on those shows you are performing covers – it’s about the voice. We are showing what we do together in terms of songwriting and style as well as singing.”
The boys revealed that they are, in fact, all single too!
Té said: “We’d be happy if we get some attention. We try, real hard." before agreeing with Eddie that it is Sonny that gets all the female attention.
“Sonny is the flower seed that has blossomed. He gets all the fan mail from girls. They love him but he’s so oblivious to it.”
