In Hollyoaks she plays sex-mad temptress Mercedes McQueen, who has seduced most of the men in Chester and, it seems, Jennifer Metcalfe has taken some of Mercedes naughtiness with her in to the Dancing On Ice rehearsals.
According to the Sun, the Hollyoaks actress has grown close to her professional ice skater partner Sylvain Longchambon.
Apparently, the couple have been trying to keep their romance quiet but didn’t fool mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who were left 'open-mouthed' watching them dance together during rehearsals.
An insider said: 'Jennifer and Sylvain's performances set the ice on fire, the chemistry between them is incredible.
'When Torvill and Dean saw them they were left speechless.'
Jennifer Metcalfe also posted a message on twitter, which suggests she may have been missing the Frenchman when he went home for Christmas. She tweeted to a friend: “'missing a certain sumone (sic)”
However, the Sun also claimed that Jennifer and Longchambon - who have allegedly been dubbed the new 'Kara and Artem' by the Dancing On Ice crew - have arranged a secret meeting in Paris before Christmas.
The sixth series of Dancing On Ice starts on January 9 2011 on ITV with 15 other celebrities will be taking part.
For the girls it will be reality TV star Kerry Katona, aspiring TV presenter Chloe Madeley, veteran newsreader and TV presenter Angela Rippon, actress Denise Welch, former WAG Elen Rivas, children's TV host Laura Hamilton, and former Eastenders actress Nadia Swahala.
And for the boys it will be former rapper Vanilla Ice, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, actor Craig McLachlan, recently killed-off Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold, former Eastenders star Sam Attwater, Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry, cricketer Dominic Cork and Radio 1 presenter Dave Vitty.
