I used to suffer with the same condition as ruby, my mum said id hold my breath ,my eyes would roll to the back of my head and id go limp.The docs sugested the same thing spray water in my face. My dad took it 1 step further he actually stuck my head under the freezing cold tap,guess what charlotte i never did it again.It would happed more when it was bedtime all my mum had to say was come on Paula bedtime,shed pick me up tocarry me upstairs,by the time i was at the top, my lips would be purple and i was out of it.Im 35 now so im proof the you do grow out of it. Also try not to show her that your worried about it cos shel do it all the more. xx from paula heselwood xx

Although my daughter didn't do this, she did something similar. When she cried, she used to get so hysterical she couldn't get her next breath. That was scary as well. We were advised to blow in her face til she managed to catch her breath again. I think she used to do this when she was between 1 and 3. She soon grew out of it and she's 8 now. If I told her she used to do that she'd be so embarrased. Ruby should grow out of it too, it's down to wanting attention I'm sure

My Brother Use To Do The Same And It Is Very Scary Watchin Thier Face Turn Blue By The Minute, We Had To Blow In His Face And He Soon Startin To Breathe Again.
