Charlotte spill about Gavin and her new man

In and exclusive interview with the Sun, Charlotte Church has opened up about her split with Gavin Henson and new flame Jonathan Powell.
Speaking about her new man, she said: “Jonathan is a handsome guy and really cool and we have worked together a lot. We get on well, so we’ll see how it goes.”
She also hit back at Jonathan’s ex Cath Jones’s claims that the Welsh singer had stolen him from her, stating: “Both Jonathan and I ended our relationships long before either of us even thought of moving on.”
Charlotte ended her five year relationship with Gavin back in June and has since moved out of the family home they shared together in Mid Glamorgan. She now lives in Cardiff with kids Ruby, nearly three and 20 month old Dexter.
Discussing the split, Charlotte maintains that it was an amicable one and the pair have remained friends.
“I think we actually get on better now then when we were together. It wasn’t abusive or horrible or anything like that. It was a good relationship but both of us wanted a bit more than either of us could give each other.”
Voicing her opinion on the recent Rooney cheating scandal, she added: “No one was to blame. There was no Wayne Rooney about it.”
Charlotte admitted that the break up had been extremely difficult and that after five years together, it was difficult to adjust.
“It is a wrench not being with him. It’s the upheaval. I was with somebody for five years.”
However, despite the painful break up, the Welsh singer insisted that she wants nothing but happiness for the father of her kids.
“If he gets a new woman I won’t be upset. I want him to be happy, which sounds clichéd and cheesy but I want him to find a nice woman and be happy. The happier he is, the happier our children are going to be.”
Charlotte also revealed that the family are excited about Gavin’s upcoming stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
“The kids love it. They were hooked on the last series. I am probably going to perform on it at one stage.
‘His dancing is not the best. I will vote for him.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with the BBC Gavin has revealed how tough the split has been for him, especially seeing another man photographed with his children.
"It’s the worst thing in the world to see your kids being brought up by another fella."
However, he seemed determined to put the past behind him and concentrate on fatherhood.
It’s not nice at all but I’ve got to deal with it and I’m trying to be the best father in the world when I do see my kids, which is limited,’
We have to applaud Charlotte and Gavin for a mature handling of such an upsetting situation. For the kid’s sake, we’re pleased that the pair can maintain such positive respect for one another.
In a year filled with sordid affairs, celebrity love rats and furious divorces, it’s refreshing to see such an amicable end to a relationship.
Also, did Charlotte just confirm her new relationship with the dishy Jonathan Powell? We knew it wouldn’t be long before the gorgeous and all round lovely singer was snapped up! Maybe Gavin's new moves on the Strictly dancefloor will be just the thing to bag him a new lady?!
