As it says the extension would be underground - how is that damaging Green Belt land that their property is already built on???

I know! They are extremely famous and would get hassled in a public gym and seeing as though it is their property why not? It would be like a sanctuary in a way I suppose. Cut off from the outside world and all the paparazzi! Knowing that there is no chance of invasion! I would like that now!! My next door neighbours bug me enough! If i was loaded, I would have everything underground! Even a nightclub and a bloody zoo!

It's weird but in another article it states that the underground gym is actually an extention of their property that is disproportionate in size to their actual existing property?! Does that mean the underground pool etc would actually be built in another building on their property's site hm?! Not sure, but if the rest of us have to sweat in a gym and many more famous stars do at luxury gyms, I have a feeling Ashley and Cheryl are trying to get around local planning and green belt protection just by using their celeb status - which this council (bless them!) are not actually bowing too lol!!
Sorry guys but I live in a green belt area that is fastly seeing more land being given up for buildings by councils too willing to give into government pressure!! Personally I'd prefer to see some damn grass, some trees, the sea and a bit of clear sky rather than bigger, taller, more enviroment unfriendly buildings!! Even if this was an underground pool etc there would still have to be a building on top of the land, as it's not likely to be in their basement it's going to be an external extension!!
I don't live in massively expensive property or in the country either but it seems these days everyday there is another bid for planning permission to build taller and bigger properties that block your view and don't fit in with the area - I'm actually quite glad someone turned them down, perhaps they shouldn't be in the media spotlight if it's so very hard on their delicate little personalities lol!
