Cheryl bans family from X Factor performance

Earlier this week, it emerged Cheryl was to mime her debut performance as a solo artist on this Sunday's X Factor - now she's banning her family and friends from attending!

Cheryl - who will be singing single Fight For This Love on Sunday's show - told GMTV: 'The girls are itching to come down and support me when I perform but I kind of don't want them to - because it is more scary.

'If my family are sat in the crowd... some of them make me feel like, "Yeah I'm ready" and some make me feel "Oh god no - Dad's in the crowd!" So no, no family or friends.'

Last year on The X Factor Cheryl performed the single The Promise with the rest of Girls Aloud, and they were criticised for having shaky, off-key vocals. 

This year, though, Cheryl's pre-recording the vocals to ensure a smooth performance - leaving her to concentrate on her dance moves. 

Cheryl has also confessed to being nervous about singing on the night as Whitney Houston.  But we think your brill Cheryl - go strut your stuff!

why. why judge others wen you cannot carry out the performance youself. enough said on half the nations behalf

It's not as if she can sing anyway, why waste the travel expenses to hear a pre-recorded tape and watch her mime lol?! There's got to be something better on anywhere!!
ctiny You're right, if you can't perform live you're in no position to judge nervous contestants lol!!
By the way anyone seen that new shampoo advert for Loreal with Cheryl as the spokesperson? I have Geordie relatives but half of what she was saying was unintelligible - no way she'd be understood in the US lol!!!

Is that a lamp shade she is wearing ? someone who sings off key and has to mime to a pre-recording should not be in a position to judge others!

Everyone is going to hate me.....but I really like her.......eek, Im going to get slammed for that! She is much better than Jordan! Can we all agree on that ...lol

Yep I can give you that Haitch - but as Emerald says who isn't?
I have to say that I don't think she's a strong singer but she did put on a good show - dancing & costumes etc x
