Cheryl hits out at Harvey fling rumours

Wednesday 01 February 2012

Cheryl Cole has taken to Twitter to rubbish rumours that she was having a relationship with So Solid Crew’s Harvey in 2010. He has claimed that they got close during her last stint on The X Factor, but Cheryl’s denying it wholeheartedly.

Harvey told Now magazine: ‘There was a relationship and an attraction to each other's aura.’

The rapper says the pair had been friends for years but grew close after Cheryl’s divorce from cheating husband Ashley Cole. He recalled: ‘We started confiding in each other. A lot of it was like: “We can't trust anyone out there, so we're just gonna trust each other.”’

He says the relationship came to an end when Cheryl was offered the much publicised X Factor USA job.

‘I cracked up when people said she was with Derek Hough,’ Harvey laughs. ‘I was like: “You're so far off!”’

Harvey, 32, married Alesha Dixon in 2005, however after just 17 months of marriage Alesha was devastated to find out her husband was having an affair with his Daddy Cool West End co-star Javine Hylton. His relationship with Javine also ended amid rumours of his infidelity.

Yesterday the pair took to Twitter; both with the sole intention of setting the record straight.

Cheryl tweeted: ‘Was this “relationship” happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?’

Followed shortly with: ‘@harveyofficial I think I've met you once maybe twice at public events and With [sic] your wife!! #sh*tjustgetsweirder.’

A few minutes later, Harvey tweeted back: ‘Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me @cherylcole pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans.

‘I had your back @cherylcole until you sent that sh*t. Disappointed in you if the public seen these emails you would end up with egg on your face.

‘This is not a twitter [sic] beef. I still have massive respect for @cherylcole but you shouldn't of tweeted that knowing we both have personal messages to eachother [sic] #silenceinthecourt.’

Cheryl’s good friend and Girls aloud band mate Nicola Roberts jumped in to defend the 28-year-old singer after the claims that Harvey had emails proving the relationship by joking that she would rather have phone sex.

Nicola also tweeted: ‘Emails..?? I think someone's been having you on mate..’

Cheryl re-tweeted the two comments and added: ‘*Spat my tea out* Lmfao..’
