Cheryl's crazy X Factor outfit

After months of speculation, it was finally confirmed that Cheryl Cole will be on the judging panel on the US X Factor last week. So, it was only a matter of time until we started seeing public appearences from the Geordie lass.
But we can't help but think she got her first official one so wrong. With a huge bouffant do and colour blocking outfit, she just looked, well, try hard. As an 'unknown' in the States Cheryl is fast finding she will have to work hard to prove herself. Co-judge and music producer LA Reid told MailOnline he hadn't even met Cheryl. And when asked what he thought of Simon Cowell's choice he replied: 'I don't know man. I've never listened to her music.'
When Cheryl heard about this she claimed that she wasn't annoyed. 'I quite like it, it means I feel really challenged,' she said. 'I have so much respect for LA Reid. I've always admired him, so it's great for me.
'It's one of those moments where you don't know what to say or how to feel.'
When asked about her accent, Cheryl Said: 'I'm hoping people are going to embrace it.
'I'm not worried (about my accent). It's going to be interesting. I hear a lot of accents here too.'
But she conceded: 'I'm sure there will be words or phases where people are like, excuse me?'
Asked if she would adjust or change her voice, she replied emphatically: 'Never! I would be crucified where I'm from if I tried to change my accent.'
Paula Abdul gave Chez a more positive reception, citing Parachute as one of her favourite songs. She said: 'I'm excited I get to meet her, I've heard such lovely things about her.'
Simon is predicting a rivalry between the two female members of the panel though. He said: 'You put pretty girls together it's like three cats in a sack, isn't it. And it needs a bit of a shake.'

Well, poppets, one is shocked indeed; oh yes, one hasn’t a column on your delicious website, but also when one saw tweetage from X Factor USA advising that our little Geordie sparrow had been given the role of judge. One, of course, emailed them immediately to thank them for taking her off our hands, telling them how indebted our nation was and they were to feel under no obligation or pressure to send her back. A rival magazines recently claimed Cheryl had lost 19 pounds. I was convinced that none of her outfits had cost that much and your picture certainly seems to confirm it. The hair and face give her the uncanny resemblance of a genetically modified Zsa Zsa Gabor with the odd chromosome thrown in from Diana, the evil humanesque lizard from the original series of V. If one can just sneak a picture of her unhinging her jaw to eat a rodent, one fancies we shall have our proof! LA Reid (no relation to Beryl) has certainly had a lucky escape not managing, thus far, to listen to her “music” and Cheryl, in giving her reaction, said “…I feel really challenged”. Well …you are, dear!
At least she has found some degree of support from Paula Abdul who has claimed “Parachute” is one of her favourite songs. When one heard the lyrics, “I don’t need no parachute”, one was very tempted to take Cheryl to 33,000ft and test her theory. As for old (and one means old) cheeky-chops Cowell …” put pretty girls together it’s like three cats in a sack”! Goodness … put a middle-aged man with a face full of botox, low slung T-shirt, high rise pants and a canny set of moobs in a leatherette swivel chair and you get a sack of shi …Ah! Tea is served!
