Exhausted Cheryl has malaria!

Oh no! Cheryl Cole has contracted malaria!

The Girls Aloud star is believed to have caught the mosquito-spread disease on her recent holiday to Tanzania with dancer Derek Hough.

At first doctors thought she was suffering from exhaustion and gastroenteritis (stomach flu).

But the fever, shaking, sweats, headache and nausea she has been experiencing indicated that she is suffering from malaria despite having taken the tablets to prevent the disease ahead of her trip.

Cheryl’s busy schedule which has included touring around Europe, doing an ad for L’Oreal and heading to showbiz events such as Cannes may have also taken its toll on the singer’s health. And her divorce from Ashley Cole could have had an impact on her health as well.

Talking of Ash – while his estranged wife lies in bed unwell, the footballer has been seen partying up a storm with scantily clad girls in America after England crashed out of the World Cup.

Simon Cowell has already shown his concern – the music mogul, who Chezza is currently filming The X Factor with, apparently sent her a text saying: ‘Have some rest.  Don’t rush back’.
