Cheryl Cole describes the first time she met Nicole Scherzinger as ‘so awkward’

The Call My Name singer revealed the first time she bumped into the former Pussycat Doll in an extract from her autobiography My Story and described it as ‘really embarrassing.’
The page from the book – which leaked on Twitter earlier this week ahead of the book release today – reveals that Nicole sang her track Promise This back to her.
She said: “The first time I met Nicole was when she was performing on The X Factor in London.”
“'Oh my God, Cheryl! You're just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!' she had gushed. ‘It was really embarrassing. Then she started singing 'Promise This' to me, and I swear to God the woman sang thewhole song, to my face,”
She then added: “It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again.”
“I thought how that would be like me going up to Britney and singing the whole of 'Baby, One More Time' in her face,” continues Cheryl. “Can you imagine how weird that would be?”
The pair worked together for a short time on The X Factor USA last year before Cheryl got the boot.
Nicole was initially lined up to front the Simon Cowell's American spin-off show with Steve Jones but took a seat on the judging panel after Cheryl was sensationally fired.
