Cheryl Cole reveals the explosive text she sent Simon Cowell after X Factor sacking

Monday 08 October 2012

Cheryl Cole has revealed the explosive text message she sent to Simon Cowell after she was fired from the US version of The X Factor in 2011 after just four days of working on the show.

The Geordie lass exposed the expletive-filled text in her autobiography, which is being serialised by a UK tabloid, while claiming that Simon got a producer to break the news to her rather than telling her himself.

‘(Cowell) didn't even have the guts to phone or send a message warning me what was coming’ she said, before revealing the text message in its entirety. It read:

‘F*ck you. F*ck Britain’s Got Talent. F*ck the orange and purple outfit. F*ck big hair. F*ck the UK X Factor. F*ck you all. I hate you. I understand you’re a business man, and what I’ve learned from this is that business means more to you than friendship.’

She added: ‘I was furious with Simon for letting it happen like this. I believed we had a good friendship and I couldn't understand why he just hadn't been straight with me.’

Cheryl also goes into detail about her marriage break up in 2010, revealing that she went to a sexual health clinic for tests after it emerged that ex-husband Ashley had been cheating on her.

The 29-year-old singer was devastated when news of Ashley Cole's infidelities broke – saying she was warned by bosses at her record label the night before the story ran - and insisted on being tested for STDs to be safe.

'His infidelity had been putting me at risk for a long time. I had to put my mind at rest’ she said.

The Call My Name singer, who is now dating dancer Tre Holloway, even admitted that she turned to tranquilisers to keep her going after the news broke.

'I was a heartbroken girl, but who was I now without Ashley by my side? I knew I loved him and I didn’t want to end my marriage; she writes.

The star confessed that she hid out at band mate Kimberly Walsh’s house during the turmoil.

‘Kimberley cried when she saw me,’ she recalls.

‘I was still in shock. I wasn’t in control of myself at all. I needed medical help.

‘I got pills off the doctor to calm me down and lay on Kimberley’s sofa. But I still couldn’t sleep.
‘We had a video shoot for our new single coming up and my doctor gave me a vitamin injection in my bum to perk me up, but it didn’t work’ she added.

The pair divorced in 2010 on the grounds of his ‘unreasonable behaviour’.
